I am no good at this game, working too hard, and falling with style.

My Self-Summary

I'm a queer girl who tends to drastically understate herself, so I hope you're not basing too much off this paragraph. I like to travel when I can, but I'm kind of a homebody at heart and I've got the beginnings of some urban homestead action going on here. This involves chickens. I'm one of those goddamned anarchists, but one of the dorky, usually invisible ones that are actually doing things instead of the hipster ones that just stand around and smoke and talk about how capitalism sucks. Also, I'm cynical about the activist community. Can you tell? But that aside, I'm actually mostly an optimist about the world.

I'm a quiet person, and I like being around people that understand the value of comfortable silence instead of poking me into talking all the time. I'll get there eventually. I would say I'm spiritual but not religious. I don't take myself too seriously.

What I’m doing with my life

Flirting with you. And saving the world. Which is a lie, I'm probably too awkward to flirt with you.

I'm working on my pre-reqs for nursing school and working toward being a radical healthcare provider. I'm also a street medic. I spend a lot of time in my backyard in the dirt when it's not raining.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

beer is food, right?

Other (non-beer) foods: Pad Thai, curries, Thai food in general, Indian Food, Ethiopian, really good bread, brie, burritos. Just about anything, to be honest. Cajun & Creole things. Comfort food.

Books & Authors: Derrick Jensen, Octavia Butler, Kurt Vonnegut, Ursula K. LeGuin, Chuck Palahniuk, those damn Harry Potter books, House of Leaves...plenty of other stuff. Post-apocalyptic ficton.

Music: An eclectic mix of punk, riot-folk, goth, rap, pop, and country. Be Good Tanyas, Lucinda Williams, Invincible, Dead Prez, The Coup, Britney Spears, Tsunami Bomb, Bad Religion, Dropkick Murphys, Blackbird Raum, & Adhamh Roland, to name a few.

The six things I could never do without

My intuition, my dreams, my will.

Carbon, Hydrogen, and Phosphorus are also among the things that are important to my makeup.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My anatomy homework, the fate of radical organizing, and what's for dinner.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I guess this is the spot where I talk about fun gender stuff. I'm trans. It's not a big part of my life at this point, but I'm usually more comfortable in relationships with other trans folks, particularly of the ftm persuasion. I enjoy queer-as-fuck "heterosexual" relationships & think trans-masculine and trans-feminine people could stand to date each other more often. I also like women, too. A lot. I can't see myself dating people who aren't queer.

I am having a breakup with being femme, and I think we're still sorting out who gets who's stuff. She took most of my clothes.

You should message me if

I'm looking for folks who are comfortable in their skin, have their shit kind-of-together, and have some purpose & direction in their life right now.

Also, I would love to meet other queer and/or radical-identified people in the healthcare field.
