My Self-Summary
I'm 31, own my own house, and have a steady job. I have a dog and 2 cats, and my brother and his dog have
been living with us since October '07. He and I grew up in
Ann Arbor,
Michigan and I
visit there as often as I can (~4-5 times a year).
I love animals, movies, books, music, travel, games (board games, cards, video games, pool, darts,...). I'm very easy-going and down to earth - I get along with just about everyone (even if we don't particularly like each other, we can get along peacefully).
I'm quiet - especially until I get to know you.
I kinda agree with most of my "Personality Awards" below, but not the "less independent" one at all - I think I'm very independent. And some others are a little if-y (ie. I can be very emotional - but I do tend to hide that from others).

What I’m doing with my life
I'm working full time for a podiatrist, as the clinic supervisor
& TekScan technician. And I'm on a dart league. I'd like to
take a class or two of some sort, just haven't pursued that idea
yet.
I’m really good at
procrastinating. I wish I weren't so good at that!
And working with my hands - I learned how to do mosaic artwork last year and was quite proud of my first piece. And I plan on doing more.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: well, my favorite author is currently Janet Evanovich - I typically
like mysteries
with some humor and romance (but not too much or sappy) mixed
in.
Movies: Shawshank Redemption, The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, The Princess Bride, Say Anything, Pineapple Express, Lars and the Real Girl (just saw that one recently - it's really quite good). Generally, I like comedies, romantic comedies, dramas, suspense, and some thrillers and horrors.
TV (even though it's not asked about here): Breaking Bad, Monk, House, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, My Name Is Earl, The Office, Family Guy Yes, Dear, Night Court, Wings, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, That 70's Show, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, King Of Queens, Big Love, Huff.
Food: I can always go for Chinese! I'm pretty willing to try just about anything once, with a few exceptions (like monkey brains straight from the live monkey - when I say Chinese, I really mean American-Chinese!)
Music: Current favorite, Jason Mraz! Overall, well as they say on 106.5 The Arch, "It's all about the variety!" I like at least some of just about every type of music out there. I don't like most rap or hip-hop, but I've been known to like a few. .

The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the people I care about, my pets, things I need to get done but am
procrastinating about.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually at home, watching tv or putzin' around on the computer, or
hanging out at a friend's house.
