My self-summary
I consider myself a mid-west gypsy.... lived in all sorts of different places around here.... looking for a way to somewhere else....
So I guess I'm a hopeful/eventual traveler. I love music and reading. I also like debating and can be very stubborn. I tend to have a biting sense of dry humor... but sometimes stupid silly stuff REALLY makes me laugh. lol. (Like how unabashedly a baby farts... But only babies, adult farts somehow aren't as cute)

Oh, and I use lol WAY too much.

Besides being an amateur historian... I like to privately goof around with fiction and song/poetry writing. Nothing life altering (yet...) but fun and occasionally thought provoking. Maybe one day you'll get to hear my music!

I like video games (mostly Epic Mickey and Garage Band) but I DEFINITELY don't want to play them everyday... there's just far too much going on outside to spend so much time glued to a digital game...
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to figure it all out - recently I was working in retail part-time while also full-time part-running a fund raising office: ASPCA and Actionaid. But I had to change jobs for personal reasons. (You can't really raise a kid on a political activist's salary and with the insane amount of hours.) So now I work retail as well as teach piano and swimming lessons. I do work a lot, but I love my work. And I still find time to spend with my son and friends! BUT one day, I swear I will be back into changing the World...

I recently (July of 2010) graduated from Ball State... I got a history degree. Most of interest with history has been about the evolution of the vampire myth (started about 3 years before I'd ever even heard of Twilight). But that doesn't mean I'm entirely nerdy.... I did go to school for theater and music for two completely frivolous years.....

The most important thing now is I have recently become a single mom. I love my son and hold no bad feelings towards his dad. Fortunately we're still friends, so my son will get to know his dad. I'm not looking for a dad for him, just want it known that we're a package deal :) (My son and I that is.)
I’m really good at
Indiana state politics - I understand it and because I see so many
things they're doing wrong, it also gets me fired up.

Occasionally saying the complete wrong thing... also, I'm excellent
at being a terrible speller - I once lost in a spelling bee for
miss-spelling chocolate.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: How To Kill a Rockstar, The Anti-Federalist Papers, Harry Potter, Mortal Instrument Series, Dean Koontz, The Hunger Games, Anne Rice

I should also say I think Hemmingway is AWFUL. And for all the hype? James Patterson is really shoddy too.

TV shows: Dr. Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bones, Castle, Vampire Diaries, The West Wing, The Daily Show, True Blood, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Lost Girl, the first couple seasons of House, Lie to Me

Music: Country, Musicals, Opera, Oldies, Classic Rock, Coffee House music, British/Irish punk rock - There are so many other songs that I'm not sure how to categorize them...
(Billy Joel, Alabama, Motion City Soundtrack, Script, Mumford & Sons, Neko Riley, Jenny Lewis, Lily Allen, "I Wanna be Sedate" by the Ramones... etc)
The six things I could never do without
1. Ipod/music
2. PBR/Miller LT/Jameson/Sake
3. A good book
4. A needful cause/a fight worth fighting
5. Probably food and sleep ;)
6. My contacts/glasses
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Stories to write or imagine... the meaning of songs... many other life puzzling questions.... you know, the usually....
But honestly, I spend a lot of time people watching and writing stories about them in my head... It's a good time. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Always doing something different... Depends on how I'm feeling at the time
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
While filling this out... I was attempting tiny jabs at humor....
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 24–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You have basic social skills, a devotion to honesty and consideration.... and want to chill out.
It also doesn't hurt if you're sarcastic, semi-stubborn, and secretly nerdy.... lol.
