My self-summary
I am a fun, easygoing, married, poly, transhumanist who loves life and wants to live as long, as well, and as much as possible.

My Meyers-Briggs type is ESFP. I prefer the enneagram though. I'm a Nine with a One wing.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in web application security. I am also working on writing a (fiction) book, and when I'm not injured, I do aerial silks, although, I messed up my shoulder in an acrobatics accident, so I've been out of that for a while. I also do every kind of dance (ballroom, swing, latin, ballet, jazz, ceilidh, etc...) but again, not so much lately, cause of the shoulder injury.

I like fantasy and sci fi books/movies/tv shows. I'm a big Joss Whedon fan.

I'm also a musician. I sing and play sax, flute, oboe, piccolo, and am working on guitar and piano, but I'm not as good at those. My main thing is jazz sax though. But I don't really perform anymore, cause I don't really have anyone else around here to play with.
I’m really good at
dancing, cooking, teaching, learning, playing
The first things people usually notice about me
Apparently at least internet people tell me that I am "genuine" or "such a genuine person." I'm not sure what they even mean by this. As opposed to a fake person? I don't know. I'm not sure it means anything. I can't imagine what on my profile makes me seem any more "genuine" than anyone else, let alone how anyone can really seem genuine from a public facing profile with the same list of thoughts and interests displayed to anyone who looks at it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Harry Potter, the Rhapsody books, the His Dark Materials books, the Black Jewels Trilogy, Hunger Games (I know, I know, don't knock it till you've read it...) various retellings of fairy tales...Can't think of what else at the moment.

Music: Jamie Cullum, Pink Martini, Maria Schneider Orchestra, Bobby Mcferrin, Lindsay Sterling, Great Big Sea, Yoko Kanno, The Puppini Sisters, Cherry Poppin Daddies, Stephan Nance, On The Rocks..... I like complicated music with jazz influences. Or actual jazz. or even Lady Gaga. Or anything, except rap or country. I really prefer music that involves actual musical talent, but I can also enjoy something if it's just kinda catchy and fun.

Shows: Castle, Elementary, Sherlock, Firefly, Dollhouse, Pushing Daisies

Movies: Stardust, Frozen, Tangled, Enchanted, Inception, Avengers, Miyazaki films, um... this is hard. Lots of things.

Food: I like good ingredients. One of my favorite things is a really good grass-fed beef or buffalo burger. I also love sushi and Ethiopian food.

Comic: XKCD! <3<3<3
The six things I could never do without
Not to be a smart-ass, but besides the things I need to survive, I think I could lose everything and find a way to go on.
