What I’m doing with my life
I go to Brooklyn College for my English M.A., so that's fairly time consuming. To make ends meet I deliver pizza, but my dad tells his friends that I am a "Transportation Engineer."

I also play in a folk band, among a few other projects. Most of which are occupied by the same people.
I’m really good at
Nothing at the moment, but if my five-year plan works out I should be a pretty competent juggler
The first things people usually notice about me
As of a few months ago, my long ass hair. Now that I donated it, my awkward hair cut.

Update: It got long again. Back to my most noticeable feature.

Also how young I look. Once I hit high school I just ceased aging altogether. Not sure why.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Beckett, Bataille, and Genet. Most of what I read nowadays is French literature. I read a decent amount of philosophy as well. Also lots of school stuff

Bergman, Kobayashi, Kurosawa, Kieslowski, Tarkovsky and TNG.
I've seen more Joss Whedon tv than I would care to admit. As in, damn near all of it.

also some old emo stuff, jazz (ala Coleman, Dolphy, Taylor), Arvo Part, Max Richter, A Silver Mt. Zion, Bonnie Prince Billy, Swans, Bob Dylan etc. Don't try to make sense of what I listen to, I don't understand it myself. Also, now that winter has started, Fucking Tom Waits.
The six things I could never do without
Whiskey, books, solitude, good movies, whiskey again,
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What movie to watch next.
What whiskey to buy next.
What the heck I want to do with myself, both in the immediate and in the relatively distant future.
What random purchase I want to grab from Amazon that I will instantly forget until the day it arrives. Not only books but strange stuff like organic ginger ale and tapioca flour.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
About two years ago I was mugged by a group of 13 year old kids in broad daylight on a busy street. They had no weapons or anything, yet I gave up my stuff immediately. I like to tell this story to people who I find threatening. They no longer see me as a potential threat. Not that they would otherwise, but that story really drives the point home.
