My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I guess to put it simply, I'm just a normal guy looking to forge new bonds. I'm quiet, smart, funny on occasion and I try really hard to find the good in people. I'm the type of person who would rather have one great friend than a bunch of acquaintances so I try to invest a lot into people I want to keep in my life. I'm down to earth, but I dream big. I value logic and reason, but try really hard not to undermine the value of emotions (especially in the people around me). I like to adventure, alone or with people I'm close to.

One of my dreams in life, besides being a doctor, is to own a small plot of land and tend a huge garden, and keep some animals. I like being self-sufficient and living in a way that is sustainable. I don't have that right now but I'm working toward it. I have a small flock of hens, and I'm enjoying learning about them and how to care for them. I also grow things, lots of things. My room is full of herbs and citrus trees I started from seed. I like to think I have a decently green thumb, but I'll let you be the judge.

I'm kind of a nerd as well. When time allows, I love to sit around and watch movies or play board games with friends, or play a video game or two. I really like to debate, especially about philosophical and existential things. Politics can be fun, as well.

I'm very much a health nut. I feel great when I'm active and eat well so I do everything I can to perpetuate those habits. I have this weird schism where I love to cook and create elaborate meals that tend to be pretty rich, but I also know that food is only fuel so a lot of my meals are pretty basic and for sustenance only. I'm getting better at merging the two though as time goes on. =)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm a student and work full time at Sparrow Hospital as an ER scribe. I love medicine. It's one of my oldest and greatest passions. I'm currently working on a surgical technology degree at LCC. As soon as I'm finished with that and I start working I will be heading back to a university somewhere (back to MSU if I'm still in Lansing, but my locale will likely change) to finish my bachelors in human physiology. Then after that, med school (or possibly PA school). That's the plan. Took a while to figure it out but now that I have I'm sticking to it. =)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Listening
-Cooking
-Running
-Gardening
-Remembering random bits of information, usually of the useless variety.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
As far as first impressions, I'm told I don't always make the best. I tend to be pretty reserved, especially around new people. Some people interpret that as me being distant, even cold. I can promise you that isn't me. Give me a chance to get past my shyness and I'm generally very warm and friendly.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Recently all I can think about is my education, namely medical school. Do I really want to do it? If I do, where will I go, and what will I specialize in? I also spend a lot of time thinking about the problems I have with our current model of healthcare and how I might work toward change.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually I am either at work or at home not doing much of anything. Hopefully this site can help fix that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I fall asleep on my back, I will snore. Loudly. I've pretty much trained myself to sleep in an position other than that one at this point, but a fair warning is still in order. Haha
