My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Geeky, intelligent, intellectual, curious, honest, positive, caring, sometimes adventurous, patient (sometimes to a fault), and a good listener. I have a passion for what makes this universe tick and how we humans use technology to investigate its depths and share that knowledge. Astronomy is a passionate pastime to connect to the wonders of space and time. Computers are also a passion where we can probe alternative realities, knowledge and the human community (internet, simulations, etc) at the speed of the electron.

I occasionally attend theatres (movie and performance), galleries, museums, planetariums, concerts (both rock and symphonies) and sporting events (but the girls soccer games I used to coach don't count in that).

I have two lovely daughters who are the joy of my life, dynamic and vivacious in their own individual way.

After doing some background work on Myers-Briggs, for those that are interested, I'd associate myself closest to an ISTP, although there are some INTP tendencies too. Not much of a change really.

I have also traveled somewhat, Eastern and Western Canada, but mainly to southern climes to enjoy the culture, cuisine, weather, and scuba diving. Again, alternative environments on multiple planes of existence.

I enjoy fine wine, fine food which is most deliciously accompanied by fine company. But don't take that as being "fancy". Burgers and fries are fine too.

Musical tastes vary. Pink Floyd, Boz Scaggs, Enigma, new age, smooth jazz, rock, blues. Very little country and no rap.

I find pleasure in the simplest and the most complex of life's possibilities.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Spending my time doing (within the confines of applicable laws and finances) anything I want. :)

Seriously, trying to satisfy this insatiable curiosity. Adding pages to my encyclopaedia perceptica.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Computers, mental and physical competence.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
No idea. Ask them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Reading tastes vary. Humanist type material (Hitchens and Dawkins). Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Computers and Astronomy. Just finished Susan Cain's "Quiet". Reading Godel Escher Bach. Book 5 of the "Game of Thrones" series awaits.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Human basics (water, food, shelter, depending on climate - clothing) counts as 1, interesting conversation with an interesting companion, interesting times, music, expansive environments, my kids.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
World consciousness.
The human condition.
The universe.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Varies. On the internet, with friends, reading a good book, occasional astronomy meeting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have an asteroid. Well, maybe not the most private, but personal.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Since I'm not a tall man, if you're small and intelligent, send me a well crafted message. Forget about even talking about pseudo-sciences or mysticism.

Oh, and you must also have a pic (or three).
