I am smart, creative, and goofy.

My Self-Summary

I am a young 34, petite, curly hair and glasses. I look a little more conservative than I am but that's all part of my well thought out plan for world domination and appropriation of fine wine. The piercings and dreadlocks were simply too much of a liability, though they were quite fun at the time.

I work in Marketing in the city, live in Brooklyn and bike commute as much as humanly possible. In other words, when it isn't opressively hot or snowing.

I'd should note that running/riding bikes and living healthy are really important to me and I'd like to find other people that think likewise.

I'm always interested in meeting people and hearing their stories, I don't think I could ever get tired of such things.. My passions are all across the board and encompass a ton of weird music, food, destinations and topics of conversation. Currently I'm reading 3 different books and an assortment of magazines. I dig all kinds of blogs from the light political satire to the painfully angst ridden diatribes of my good friends.

I love to travel and have been to all 48 continental United States as well as Canada, Mexico, Iceland and a couple of spots in Europe. I love snowboarding, cycling, hiking and I'd really like to learn how to surf. I love kids and definitely want to have them one day, but for now I'm just interested in making new friends and exploring New York. I'm always down for a good conversation over an excellent glass of beer/wine etc.

I can be bribed with dark chocolate and for some odd reason I'm a sucker for an eagle scout. Or anyone that knows and loves "The Way Things Work".

What I’m doing with my life

Currently I'm really digging my job and focusing on staying active (running/biking) and keeping some time open for fun. I plan on taking time this summer to do a bit of traveling and I'd like to get a few more stamps on my passport when I do. It looks like Norway might be the destination but it's not yet set in stone.

Hey, if you know anything about Norway, you should message me.

I’m really good at

Landing on my feet, staying positive and keeping others motivated. Riding 3 different kinds of bikes (though not at the same time). Being a fan of Anthony Bourdain. Cooking every imaginable type of food under the sun.

Did I mention I love dark chocolate and red wine?

The first things people usually notice about me

Curly hair, glasses and smile.

I also almost always get comments on my voice. I seem to have mastered the non regional dialect and I've worked as a voice talent. Briefly.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Brief History of Time, anything by Chuck Palahniuk, Snow Crash, The Princess Bride, The Philosophy of Andy Warhol, Lonely Planet stuff, The Gunslinger, anything by Douglass Rushkoff, Neal Stephenson, William Gibson, Madeleine L'Engle, Piers Anthony, Joseph Campbell

Annie Hall, Comet Butterfly and Sword, Sin City, Snatch, Garden State, Finding Nemo, Aguirre The Wrath of God, Galaxy Quest, Stargate, Amelie, Vampire Hunter D, Dune, 300, V for Vendetta, The Big Lebowski, Drop Dead Fred, Meet Joe Black, Sweeney Todd, The Godfather, It Happened One Night, No Country For Old Men, Benjamin Button, Star Trek TNG, Fight Club, Big Fish

Anything live, anything you can dance to. Specific artists? Let's see... Bob Dylan, Belle & Sebastian, Simon and Garfunkel, Oakenfold, Tiesto, David Bowie, Joe Satriani, John Williams, Grateful Dead, Django Reinhardt, Ferry Corsten, Imogen Heap, Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, Tom Waits, U2, Bruce Hornsby, Afrika Bambaataa, Aphrodite, Daft Punk, Pogues, Sublime and endless more.

I love this city for the food and try to sample as much different cuisine as possible. Everything from Sushi to Indian to Ethiopian to Jamaican to Mediterranean and so on and so on.

The six things I could never do without

my bike(s)
a great book
red wine
dark chocolate
my passport
chamomile tea with honey and fresh lemon

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Life the universe and everything

On a typical Friday night I am

Doing any number of things from a quiet night in to a night out dancing and drinking to a evening of biking through the city.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I daydream *constantly* about everything under the sun. And I love this.

You should message me if

You can appreciate the art of not taking life too seriously.

You know about Norway.

You ever got down and dirty with a sick harpua.

You at some point or another could understand the draw of going really really fast down a mountain on any number of vehicles, but namely those that do not self propel.
