I am Eccentric, Intelligent, and Creative.

My Self-Summary

Take my match me test : okcupid.com/matchme?u=altpixel

I'm a graphic artist and web developer. I live in Irvine. I work my corporate but not-so-corporate 9 to 6, which is great but getting older and older.

I read constantly. I try to stick to classic literature, which for my purposes means the author should have been dead for some time.

I'm an artist, with interests here and there. That is I draw, paint, build, and shoot photos. I don't know that I'm great at any of them, but I'm working on that.

I like to go out dancing a couple of times a week.

My favorite colour is brown. I hate, and avoid at all possible costs, dressing formally.

I like to travel and want to do more of it.

What I’m doing with my life

I am living independently. I can pay my bills, go shopping once in a while, and party every weekend, so I'm going to live that up while I'm still young and free.

I'm working for a design firm. I do web-development type stuff for big, scary, evil pharmaceutical companies like Merck and Eli Lilly. On some levels, this makes me feel like a hypocrite. On others, the money is really good and I'm developing ideas about identity that make it seem less and less like a fixed thing.

I'm still in a community college working on transfering into berkeley's engineering program.

I'd like to live in Europe some day. Maybe Barcelona.

I’m really good at

...wise-ass remarks. I come from a big family, and we've all viciously picked on each other our entire lives, so I know how to bruise an ego or two. That would be great except that it often doesn't occur to me that not everybody is as thick-skinned as I am, and they may think I actually mean the things I say.

I'm great with graphics. Photoshop-whiz, right here.

I'm also down with art. I can talk about it somewhat fluently. I also try to keep my eyes peeled for gallery openings. In my wildest dreams, I'm much better at making art, although that's not to say I'm not active in that.

I'm very good at alienating people.

The first things people usually notice about me

My reclusively awkward personality. I'm wonderful socially with a few close friends in tow, but without the comforts of a shared social history it takes some pushing to open me up.

My inappropriate remarks.

I've heard nice things about my eyes as well. I think maybe everybody has.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm a voracious reader. I'm currently digging on John Fante. Otherwise, I like...Vonnegut, Bukowski, Kafka, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Salinger, Heller, blah blah plenty of others.

I consider myself to be a bit of a film snob. More accurately, most of my friends think of me as one. I like foreign/indie flicks. I stay away from Hollywood at all costs.

I listen to Industrial music, a little bit of drum and bass, and classic rock primarily.

I'm a vegetarian, so most of my favorite food items are ultimately tofu. I'm pretty sure I like all fruits and veggies, without exception.

The six things I could never do without

1) Art

2) Books

3) The Internet

4) Tofu

5) Comfortable Jeans

6) Electronic Music

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Identity and free will.

The meaning of life.

What makes a good song.

What makes a good film.

What makes a good book.

How to avoid working.

Ways to get rich quick.

How to live forever.

What I'll be doing when I'm 35.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drinking and dancing at Das Bunker. I tend to show up around midnight once all of the scene-folk have made their appearances and left.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I often talk to myself when I think nobody else is around, but I've probably been caught doing it a few times.

You should message me if

You can integrate.
