My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a person who likes to keep busy. I enjoy doing pretty much anything outdoorsy; rollerblading, hiking, biking, etc. I also enjoy cooking (when I have someone to cook for), reading and taking photographs. I also love doing community theater and usually participate in at least a couple of musicals every year. I'm somewhat of a computer nerd at heart as well, but don't make a habit of playing online games like most compy-inclined individuals. Most recently I was put in charge of redesigning and maintaining my nursing floor's website, which I am actually very excited about. I'm a very optimistic person and I try to maintain a fresh outlook on life and spring in my step at all times.

Overall you could say I'm a realistic idealistic, I'm extremely energetic and I try to live my life by "carpe diem".
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently graduated nursing school and am now working as a pediatric nurse at a local children's hospital. It's so wonderful having a career I can be proud of, one that makes me feel like I'm actually making a difference in the lives of others. :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Reading people. I've been told I'm uncanny at sensing how a person is really feeling and whether or not what they're saying is actually what they mean. I guess you could say I have excellent interpersonal skills...which comes quite in handy when you work with the public like I do.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. I think that's what most people compliment me on first. That, and the fact that I sometimes wear color contacts that turn my brown eyes a very interesting shade of blue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: anything that I can get my hands on, though I prefer ones recommended to me by friends. Some of my favorite authors include Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Gaiman, Paul Coelho, W. Somerset Maugham and JK Rowling (yes, I'm a Harry Potter nerd). Movies: comedies or really any movie that makes you think, the kind that force you to take stock of yourself and your life. Some of those are Garden State, Lost in Translation, Amelie, American Beauty, Fight Club, Office Space, Kicking & Screaming (the 90's one), Serendipity, Inception and Dream for an Insomniac. Music: typically anything NOT being played on the radio; I like a lot of indie and acoustic alternative music and (as with books) I'm always looking for recommendations. Those I frequently listen to are: Andrew Bird, Death Cab for Cutie, Imogen Heap, Incubus, Jason Mraz, Counting Crows, Maroon 5, Cake, Live, Aqualung, Collapsis, Porcupine Tree, the Animators, The Paper Raincoat, Dashboard Confessional, Greg Laswell, Lisa Hannigan, Duncan Sheik, DeVotchKa, Sufjan Stevens, The Weakerthans, Nickel Creek, Dave Matthews Band, Kaki King, The Fray, Butch Walker...and a bunch more, including some J-pop & K-pop. Food: anything Asian really; I was an anime geek back in college and actually spent a year teaching English in South Korea. I guess you could say the culture and the food sort of rubbed off on me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how to improve my nursing skills and how to provide the best care possible to my patients and their families.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging out with friends at a bar or restaurant or spending a quiet evening at home with some wine and a good movie.
