Activities I enjoy include pretending to be a freelance graphic designer, sporadically updating my movie site AustinAudience.com, occasionally helping out with marketing whatnots for the Austin Wind Symphony (I'm a member emeritus), not getting my car fixed, daydreaming about being the lead singer of an indie band, and being a Pescetarian (not a religion--Google it).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Books: I adore Jane Austen, particularly Pride and Prejudice, Douglas Adams, Elizabeth Peters, 1984, World War Z, A Wrinkle in Time, Philippa Gregory and, of course, Harry Potter.

Movies: Anything written, directed, masterminded, conceived of or breathed upon by Judd Apatow. Other luminaries include Pride and Prejudice, Star Wars, Young Frankenstein, the Christopher Guest portfolio, Strictly Ballroom, zombie movies, anything involving Nathan Fillion or John Cusack. I write about movies over at AustinAudience.com. You know, just in case you're interested.

Music (this is taking FOREVER): They Might Be Giants, OK Go, Kaiser Chiefs, Mika, The Darkness, and the melodious intonations of NPR's Carl Kasell.

Food: I'm a pescetarian (and am trying valiantly to become an honest-to-goodness vegetarian), but other than that I've got a pretty darn adventurous palate. Ever tried tempeh? I love the stuff. But for some reason, no matter how I cook it, it inevitably tastes like hash browns. I suppose there are worse things it could resemble.
