I'm new-ish to the city. I grew up in suburbia and was counting down the days until I could bust out into big city living.

I'm totally and completely in love with the city. Chicago favorites are St. Patrick's Day, Christmas time, summer runs along Lakeshore, and discovering a new restaurant or pub.

I'm super committed to my job. I spend my days teaching 5th grade, which certainly keeps me on my toes. I have yet to meet 2 days that are remotely similar. I work hard, but I also work hard at finding time for fun.

I can make a mean batch of homemade popcorn. I love trying different kinds of beer. I really enjoy making it to yoga, but equally enjoy spending some quality time on the couch. I went to Indiana University and will always hold a special place in my heart for Bloomington.

Being Irish. Ripping through packs of post - it's. Utilizing every moment of my day. Making up elaborate stories at bars. City driving. Anything competition related. Using avocados for as many meals as possible. Talking myself out of awkward situations.

"Typical" wouldn't be the word I would choose to describe my Fridays, but if I had to generalize.....

I might be catching up with friends over a craft brew at one of our local haunts. Or, decompressing from the week over some take out and a weeks worth of DVR. Or, gallivanting around the city longer than my body wants me too.

You ever want to abuse my teacher discount at all of Chicago's museums. Or, if you enjoy a properly poured Guinness.
