My self-summary
Easy going guy happy to be living/working in NYC. Did my undergrad in Boston and law school in the city. On any given night, I'm watching (agonizing over?) the Knicks at a sports bar, checking out food joints in the lower east side, going to a jazz show, or catching up with friends. I like talking about pretty much anything -- politics, movies, social issues, sports, or just whatever. After a long day at work, I'm a fan of taking it easy, having a low-key dinner, and watching a good movie.
What I’m doing with my life
Lawyer in NYC, trying to get better at my craft while taking advantage of living in NYC.
The first things people usually notice about me
You'll be able to tell pretty quickly that I'm a good listener.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: at any given point I try to read at least one book, usually of a different genre. Currently (trying) to work through Arguably by Christopher Hitchens.

Movies: I'm a fan of all kinds of movies (comedy, action, drama, foreign, animated, anything that Rotten Tomatoes says is good). I thought this year was a great movie year, and really enjoyed American Hustle, Wolf of Wall Street, and Her. Favorites include Fight Club, The Bicycle Thief, Ikiru, The Lives of Others.

TV: I don't follow too many shows, but will definitely continue to follow Game of Thrones. The Wire is the best I've ever seen.

Music: pretty eclectic, but I tend to like classic rock, with some blues, easy listening, and jazz.

Food: anything.
The six things I could never do without
Music while commuting, iPhone, nytimes.com, breakfast cereal, coffee, family/friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Captions for the New Yorker cartoon caption contest. No luck so far...
