I love to travel and I'm currently at 70 on my way to hopefully visiting 100 countries some day. Traveling is such a large part of my life... it provides the moments I feel the most alive. So if I haven't just come back from a trip, I'm usually planning my next escape. I'm just as happy getting away for a random weekend road trip as I am flying somewhere exotic though.

I'm fairly creative. I love photography and printmaking. I used to be an Arts and Crafts Counselor at Girl Scout Camp. I'm a huge design blog junky... interior design, typography, infographics, etc.

I love nature and being outside. I really love anything do to with water sports or the beach; surfing, sailing, swimming, snorkeling... you name it. (I'm also apparently really fond of 's' words.) I'm totally going to learn how to snowboard this year.

I love to laugh. If you can make me laugh... things will be great. I enjoy being optimistic about things as well; why live life unhappy, you know? Don't take this to mean that I'm an obnoxious Pollyanna though... I have a fairly deep sarcastic streak. Also, if you feel like sharing lots of inside jokes let me know. I consider those a personal forte.

I've just randomly moved to Germany (again) since my mom took a job over here... couldn't pass up more travel opportunities. I'm working on a second degree, graphic design, as well.

I'd like to start my own magazine someday. Hopefully I'll have an online version/issue/prototype up soon.

I'm sorry about the lists, I know they're hard to read... but I do so love lists.

I read a lot. It's super difficult to narrow favorites down, so here are some authors: anything published by Lonely Planet, JK Rowling, Jasper Fforde, Douglas Adams, Augusten Burroughs, Nick Hornby, David Sedaris, Chuck Klosterman, Julian Fellowes, Christopher Moore, Garth Nix... so so many.

My favorite movies: Stranger than Fiction; anything directed by Wes Anderson, Michel Gondry, Christopher Guest, or Quentin Tarantino; Contact; Wind; Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead; Blue Crush; Amelie... weird selection, I know.

I pretty much only watch TV online anymore... Some favorites are: Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, Arrested Development, The Office, Firefly, Burn Notice, Glee, Downton Abbey... lots more.

I really love music! And all of it. Literally. Rock, Techno, Country, Opera, Rap/Hip-Hop, Gregorian Chant... whatever, I'll listen to it. I also recently bought a record player so I could finally play the rare Beatles album I got for my 16th birthday. It's been fun going to record shops and buying all sorts of random crap.

My favorite foods: Mexican, Mediterranean, Thai... I'm pretty much up for anything. I love trying new restaurants. I also love cooking, but it's more fun when I get to cook for other people. Give me any sort of a theme or party to cook for and I'm ecstatic.
