My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm off-beat. I like that. Socially awkward, but nevertheless very social. I'm a nerd, a radical, and a rather self aware queer-identified ethical egoist.

Nice to meet you.

I am looking for positive open-minded individuals who have respect for themselves (and for others), for genuine friendship and adventure.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
..Learning, loving, creating, adventuring, dancing, joking, crusading, arguing, laughing, contradicting everygoddamnthing [especially myself], and rocking out! I'm celebrating every little scrap of this strange existence.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Kissing, taking my vitamins regularly, shaking my money maker, and embarrassing you in public.

The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Some fiction - Middlesex (Eugenides), White Noise (DeLillo), Autobiography of Red (Carson), Written on the Body (Winterson), Doctor Zhivago (Pasternak), Beyond the Pale (Dykewomon)

Some non-fiction - The End of Gay; and the death of heterosexuality (Archer), Sex at Dawn (Jethá, Ryan), Zami: A New Spelling Of My Name (Lorde), A Continent for the Taking (French) < If you have not read this book you need to Run to your local library!! And everything by Noam Chomsky [i.e. the most prevalent name on my bookshelf].

I have a love/hate relationship with cinema.

I will listen to anything I can shake my ass to/or cry into my whiskey to.

I am a foodie. I eat a very specific diet, and I eat with purpose. People either become enamored with this, or extremely annoyed.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking on those ill-structured concepts which define our "human" existence: sex, gender, race, nationality, class, creed; and about community, our cultures and our counter-cultures; on churches, governments, the rule of law and socially supported methods of establishing "order." I think about how people categorize, how they define, how they institute their zany ideas, and how they very seldom seem to accomplish much more than self-deception. I think about how people are just scared, creative, confused, intelligent, emotional, self-absorbed, beautiful animals.

O. And shoes. I spend a considerable amount of time thinking about shoes.
