My self-summary
Do you really think about the world, who you are within the world and why you are here? Are you *incredibly* curious? Are you as interested exploring your internal landscape as the exterior one? Is conversation easy and comfortable? Can you talk about your inner darkness as well as your inner light? Have you met your shadow?

These are important things to me. The inner courage to face oneself, ones fears and anger, ones peaks and valleys—the entire human experience.

I love the sights, sounds and textures of the world. And there's nothing better than sharing it with someone equally enthralled.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently working on my PhD in Mythology and Depth Psychology. I am a published novelist and am always working on the next book. I also teach marketing communication and am a tea sommelier. I'm never ever bored.
I’m really good at
What an annoying question. I'm good at recognizing that. And pointing it out.
The first things people usually notice about me
My presence. People tell me I have a Queen Elizabeth thing.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Frank Herbert. Jane Austen. Christopher Moore. Alexander McCall Smith. Neil Gaiman. Ken Follett. Carl Hiaasen. David Whyte. John o'Donohue. Mythology of every sort. Let's talk Arthurian Romance. Chrétien. Homer. Virgil. Dante. Plato. Tibetan Book of the Dead. Anam Cara.
The six things I could never do without
Dune (the entire series) (NOT the son's books, though).
Good tea (Golden Yunnan).
A good Barolo.
The smell of sandalwood.
(my computer . . .).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Thinking. And not thinking. And the soul. And the nature of liminality. Thresholds. Existence.
On a typical Friday night I am
I can't tell a Friday from a Wednesday. Whatever day it is, I'm enjoying.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 45–58
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
If the world and the people within it fascinate you. If you are incredibly curious. If the spirit moves you.

In my imagination you are tall with a normal physique. You have a huge brain and a generous heart. You are as interested as you are interesting (i.e., it isn't all about you nor all about me). You love in-depth conversation about philosophy, mythology, religion. You read voraciously. You love animals and and have a very witty sense of humor. You meditate from time to time (or even every day).

Please be over 40. While I appreciate young men as much as the next woman, I'm not a cougar.

Please be within the Greater Seattle area. Long distance romances sound wonderful, but are, in reality, very challenging. However, if you live in Bhutan, maybe I'll make an exception. I *really* want to travel to Bhutan. ;)
