I am a professional in the marketing/publicity/design/e-communications realm, and it has been keeping me busy, challenged, and for the most part happy. I am in a stable place, so I can branch off and have new experiences.

I always like to have a project or periods marked by a definitive topic of interest. I'm trying to figure out what the topic du jour is, but past project obsessions included: historical costuming, online communities, home improvement, gluten free cooking and trail walking. I'm always looking for something new in which to immerse myself, as well as the oomph to push me to actually do it.

Other than that, I share my life with my loving husband cptnhalfbeard, my girlfriend lynzm31, my chocolate Labrador puppy, and all the good friends in my life!

My hair is past my waist. I like getting compliments about it :) I would say a personality trait that people first notice about me, but I change depending on situations. Mostly, however, I am very quiet when I first meet people, reserved, observing... but get me into a one-on-one conversation and we will have a great time :)

Books - Oh I wish I had more time these days for more leisure reading! But for a short list... Authors: Anais Nin, Kurt Vonnegut, Anne Rice. Books: Crime and Punishment, 1984, Cat's Cradle, Annie on My Mind, Harry Potter... I start too many books and finish far too few! I love short story compilations, and recently I've been enjoying select non-fiction.

Movies - Robin Hood Men in Tights, historical films, blow stuff up and shoot some people partners in crime type movies, animations. Directors: Stanley Kubric, Kevin Smith, Tim Burton, Mel Brooks. I like

Music - Rasputina, Ani Difranco, The Chieftains, Flight of the Conchords, Type O Negative, Guns n Roses, Garbage, Tori Amos, Rob Zombie, Rancid, Catch 22, guitars and pianos, Celtic tunes, folk, booty music, NPR, and college radio stations! I even make up my own lyrics.

Food - Um, I like food? It nourishes me. But if I must pick... Chicken Carciofi is soo good. Yum, artichokes and mushrooms! I also have a penchant for Indian and Japanese. I enjoy trying new cuisine.

Television - Battlestar Gallactica, Family Guy, The Office. I usually wouldn't watch much tv unless it's Netflix or Hulu; does that count?

Besides the more obvious friends, love, food, Internet, warmth, shelter, safety, and air stuff... I could never do without... In no particular order... (1) new experiences/change, (2) a link to nature, (3) future plans (4) laughter (5) soft cuddly things
