Last time I updated my profile was about a year ago, so keep that in mind whenever you see the word 'now' or 'currently'!

Last year I went to Hawaii, Australia, and a had an amazing experience at Burning Man (second year). So I guess you can say I've been bit by the adventure bug.

I'm about to go on a 5-month trip to Southeast Asia sometime in March 2013. Nothing is set in stone. All I have is my will, my passport and... well, I still need to get a ticket. I've never been to Asia before, so I'm getting ready for an adventure of a lifetime! Who's up for it?

I'm a little geek, love the outdoors, love performing arts. I'm a software engineer for a clean tech company in the Bay Area, but this is what I do, not who I am. I like to do a little bit of everything.

I'm always reading. I may be reading three books at a particular time. I also write short-stories once in a very while.

I also like languages and to travel. I speak three and I'm learning a 4th right now. Mexico and Nevada desert are my next big trips.

Right now I'm doing a lot of volunteering at my company and for Greenpeace. I believe in being part of something greater than myself, hence the Thomas Paine quote.

I like to learn new things. I'm currently (trying to) learn Mandarin and to do some juggling (I might try poi next).

Biking to work 4 times a week. Working from home on the 5th day.

Going to as many performing arts events as possible: from comedies, to plays, to dance shows.

I'm really good at things I've never done before and I love trying new things, which unfortunately makes me not good in anything in particular! I'll soon be crossing spelunking and scuba diving off of my bucket list!

Music: I'm very eclectic. I used to listen to a lot of rock, my preferred style is hard rock Korn, Rise Against and alternative/indie Hinder, Powderfinger. I also enjoy other rock variations Battles, Death Cab, Beatles. Also some more pop-y styles CSS, Tori Amos, Linda Perry. I listen to a lot of non-English music as well, specially Portuguese and Spanish Marea, Shakira, Titãs, Penélope. Lately I've listening to a lot... I mean a LOT of electronic music: house, techno, trance, and my favorite of all time, psytrance.
