My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hm...let's see. I'm currently home for the summer, working a part time job and just enjoying my last summer as a college guy. I'm nerdy as hell, and have a sense of humour that's slightly drier than the Sahara. I have a hard time saying nice things about myself - the one thing I can consistently say with a straight face is that I am loyal to the end. If you're a friend, I will go to the gates of Hell for you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'll be honest, I have no clue. I don't know what I want or who I want it with, but I know I'm doing my damnedest to figure it out. I don't think there's anything I can't do, once I put my mind to it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good with people. It's hard to find someone I can't get along with. I'm intelligent, but it should be noted that intelligence and common sense are not synonymous. And, like I said above, loyal to a fault.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Depends. I'm told I have a good handshake and a nice smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Anything by Pratchett or Asimov. Love me some Tolkien, but that's just my nerd cred. I have a weakness for science fiction short story anthologies in general.

Movies: *sigh* You guessed it. Superhero movies all the way. I've also been working my way through classics recently, so that's been entertaining.

Shows: Ditto the above.

Music: Heh. I'll listen to anything once. Classic rock and indie music are sorta home base for me, but, like I said. Anything once.

Food: Pizza. Italian. Vietnamese. Brazilian. Thai. Cuban. French. Chinese. Classic American. Japanese. Basically the same deal as with music - love most of it, will try anything once (with the caveat of "as long as it's not alive.").
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Oxyg - okay, no smartassery. My family.
2. My friends. I'm lucky as hell to have them.
3. My books and music.
4. Eh. Pragmatically, this list should only be the first two items. I could list a few more things that I really like, but speaking honestly - I'm a simple guy. I love the people around me, and don't need anything else out of life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whatever book I'm reading. Music. Getting through the next day/week/month/year. Politics - not in an obnoxious hardliner way, but in a "what's going to happen next" way. Not going to lie, beer is somewhere on this list - not an alcoholic, I just appreciate the hell out of a nice beer. Irish reds for life. Whatever video game I happen to be playing at the moment. Chess also tends to feature prominently.

The point here is that I think about a lot of stuff constantly. Can't help it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably hanging with friends or reading a book. Video games may feature prominently. I'm not exactly a bar-hopping kind of guy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmm....I have large portions of the rules for the third edition of D&D memorized.

If you want something actually serious, go ahead and message me. There's nothing about me I won't answer.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me if you like, I'm always down for a conversation. I'm a little hesitant about starting conversations online, so if you're in the same boat, here are some starter topics:

Books, classic rock, *whispers* D&D *whispers*, movies (superhero or stuff you'd find on top 100 lists), and beer.
