I was born in Evansville, IN and got my BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue on a full academic scholarship, because I'm a nerd. I enrolled as pre-med, but changed my mind after shadowing a few doctors over my first summer to rule out practice and taking Organic Chemistry to rule out research. I chose engineering because I like solving problems, and Civil Engineering because I like infrastructure. I realize that's a very strange thing to like, but infrastructure, when it's working correctly, is meant to make your life easier and to not be noticed. I identify with that (I am uncomfortable when people pay attention to me, and I enjoy helping others).
What I feel to be my greatest strengths are listed below in "I'm really good at ...", and I feel like it's only fair to list my weaknesses. My facial appearance is towards the top (see "The first thing people notice about me ..." below), along with my shyness.
