My self-summary
Hey! How's it going?

I am on this site hoping to meet some cool people who would like to hang out, be friends, and if something more develops then that's OK with me too.
What I’m doing with my life
Writing. Lots of writing. I have my own news and events website that branched off from a successful site in Ridgefield, CT. So I am making that work. In addition to writing news, I blog, play around on social media, edit, ghostwrite, scribble out food reviews, and teach martial arts three times per week, sometimes more.
I’m really good at
Cooking, martial arts, writing, listening to people, giving advice, and knowing how to relax when I need to.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love John Grisham books or anything about sports. The Art of War, Bruce Lee's Tao of Jeet Kune Do, and books with life lessons and good quotes. I also like to read a bit of Confucianism, even though I'm not religious. Anything history related is also of interest to me.

To pick favorite movies is tough, I have way too many to list here. If you saw my DVD collection it would shock you.

My music interests are everything from Tupac to Sinatra.

I like all foods that are bad for me even though I cannot eat like that all the time. I can cook my own meals. And I can cook them very well. You would be impressed.
The six things I could never do without
1. Movies
2. iPhone (I am a writer, it is necessary)
3. Friends and Family
4. My car
5. Pizza
6. Marital arts
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If we both rate each other four or five stars on this site, why the hell doesn't anyone reply to messages? Makes no sense. Do it!
On a typical Friday night I am
Either home after a long week watching films or catching up on TV shows or I'm out in my town, usually Ginger Man. I am a beer snob. Hooray craft beer!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Just ask! I am open to all questions.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–42
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
I think YOU should send me a message if you want to hang out with someone who can take your mind off the serious stuff in life and make you laugh. Even if you're just looking for a good friend that's fine too.

One of the many things that people do on here that bugs me...viewing my profile a bunch of times without sending a message. What on Earth ever happened to saying "Hello" to someone? I'll respond if you do.

And ladies, you can make the first move, crazier things have been known to happen.

Please, contact me if you live close by. NYC chicks, you're all good since there is such a thing called a train and I live near three train stations.

I am willing to hang out but you must understand that I get busy so don't be upset if I can't make a date happen immediately. Just trust that it will happen if we both want it to. But hey, if you live close by we can hang whenever and you're totally welcome to come with me to cool sneak previews of exhibits, menu tastings, and all that awesome stuff writers get to do.

And seriously, don't go out with me a few times, tell me you like me, how much fun you're having and then disappear like you're in witness protection and later resurface telling me you are not ready to date. Umm...thanks for the honesty a month later. I'm upfront and honest, you should be too, this way you will not waste your time, I will not waste mine.
