OK, now reality! I am divorced with three wonderful, nay awesome daughters. My two oldest (22 & 19) live in California and go to college. My youngest is 15 and share custody with her mother whom she lives with most the time. Typical post divorce arrangement and I completely get that it is not cool for a 15 year old girl to hang with dad too long. I took the journey in rediscovering who I am, my smile and sense of humor and ensuring that I am happy with myself before sharing me with someone else.
I am very old school when comes to romance and dating. I am very affectionate and enjoy the little things like holding hands, holding and just being in the company of that special person. At this age and stage in life, I am who I am and you are who you are. The fun is finding what we share in common and even new things that neither of us thought we would like to do. I am confident but not overly assertive and always try to be considerate of others' feelings and desires. Really, just very laid back and let life happen. I know this sounds like a "Girly Man" so if you want a bad-ass macho type, put himself over you kind of man, well I may be able to learn to be that. But in all honesty, that just is not me. I never try to take life too seriously and find the humor in just about everything. If you look at my pictures (go ahead, I dare you!) you will notice I cannot pull a straight face in pictures all the time.
I am a business and application consultant, I work from home (usually with the dog in my lap) and travel about once a month. I live for the weekends since I am glued to my laptop and calls most of the day. Although, I will admit that I sneak out for dinner, movie or nice glass of wine or a good scotch during the week when the mood strikes. I enjoy taking my partner in crime (my loyal and quite vocal Jack Russell Terrier) on road trips, usually to see my daughters in California or just a drive around the state. So here is the tough part considering I live in Arizona, I hate NASCAR and do not listen to country music. I am not a big outdoorsy kind of guy (fishing/hunting) but I do like going to parks or day hikes. I am a huge and loyal fan of all our sports teams with my favorite being the Cardinals. If I do not go to the games in person I try to find a rowdy sports bar even though it kind of sucks going alone.
