My Self-Summary
Honestly, I'm surprised anyone actually reads this. Usually women see the thumbnail pic and are so repulsed at the sight of my ugly mug that they hit backspace with such force that their keyboard is destroyed. Then they only contact me to try and get me to buy 'em a new one. I'm telling ya right now, not gonna happen.
I'm from WA state and I'm tall. I have a degree in IT, but I dislike the field, so I'm going to school for journalism now and love it. I like cliche guy stuff like working on my car and working out, but also non traditional guy stuff like gardening, reading & cooking.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
Being laid back.
Shooting guns. lol Seriously, I have no idea why, but for some reason I am really good with pistols.
I'm a pretty good cook, and can usually BS my way through a unfamiliar recipe and it turns out great. I made cheeseburger soup this week and it kicked ass.
I've also been told I'm really good at kissing and giving massages.
I can find spelling mistakes in national magazines, but I tend to not be the best speller.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Book: The Name of the Wind, by Patrick Rothfuss. The Redemption of Althalus, by David Eddings. Anything by RA Salvatore and Ray Bradbury. Without Remorse, by Tom Clancy. If you hate Clancy, read that one and you might change your mind. I'm not set on any one genre, but good writing style is a must. Currently reading Dune.
Music: too many, but right now, an odd mix of Andain, In Flames, Mudvayne, Sevendust, 3 Doors Down, Dropkick Murphys, Miles Davis, Dream Theater, Sonic Syndicate, In This Moment, Nightwish, and so on.
I tend to like crunchy stuff, but I'm picky. Lately I've been very unimpressed with commercial radio, so I've been listening to NPR and KTOK. Yeah, I know. Odd mix there....
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I also am weirdly fascinated with the origins and relationships of words. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
Should I double major? It's only a few more classes in a field I'm interested in, but that does add another semester....
We are so easily connected with all of our tech, but it seems like our meaningful relationships in "real life" are going into the dumpster. (ex, massive facebook friends list, but no real friends) Not saying me, I don't have a facebook profile. Just sayin....
Shouldn't there be a better way in the socialism vs capitalism debate? Both have their drawbacks in their pure forms.
Why do we have so much bias in the media? I want to start a website called "News From The Center" that reports news without spin and examines both sides fairly. Unfortunately that would be boring so no one would read it.
Who eats green eggs & ham?
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
It's kinda funny that I have a "more republican" award. I'm registered Independent and consider myself Centrist with Libertarian leanings.
