My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Blue eyes, brown hair, account manager in a compliance institute. Also a keen amateur director and actor on stage. Fairly easy going about things, but also enjoy a nice thoughtful conversation or debate, particularly when it's done in a respectful environment. Will make jokes at inappropriate private moments. Like learning new things, experiencing new places, eating foods, seeing shows, cooking and running. I do like to sometimes watch a game of football (English or American) with a pint, but am often frustrated by 'laddish' behaviour and culture as it gives most decent guys a bad name. Currently feeling rather young, happy, and looking to enjoy some good years. Politically centre-left, and a massive believer in equality and democracy for all. Very open-minded as to what I'm looking for, more important is that someone is good company.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying it! Involved with amateur dramatics and seeing friends in evenings and weekends. Work 9-5 on weekdays. Fairly settled in London and feeling good in my own self.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making jokes, Talking complete rubbish, being open to new ideas and suggestions. According to reviews I can also direct a play pretty good too. Amazing at washing up, and I genuinely enjoy cooking food. Toad in the hole is my personal favourite, and no, that isn't a euphemism.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My colossal Adams Apple. Yeah. That, or the distinctive South Derbyshire accent I apparently have. Didn't realise it til I moved down here!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Like a range of films and books, but enjoy thrillers most of all. Currently working towards seeing all of the IMDB top 250. As for foods, I like nearly everything, including vegetarian cuisine. Can't beat a good curry or Mexican though. Or pie.

With regard to music, I like a mix of classic rock (fleetwood mac in particular) along with a little bit of the more modern house and electronic music, which makes for some interesting mixes if I'm DJing. I like to use music to inspire me when I'm doing plays/films.

Have just started reading more classical literature (Fitzgerald, Salinger, Bronte (either), Austen. Someone to help guide me in this would be very welcome. I still have fond feelings for the books I read as a youngster, like the his dark materials trilogy or The Lord of the rings, or anything done by Roald Dahl.

On the subject of Roald Dahl, go see Matilda the musical. It's insanely good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A cup of tea, preferably green.
A creative project.
Nandos chicken.
"The Shawshank Redemption" film.
Massive disappointment caused by my sporting teams. (San Diego Chargers (NFL) and Derby County (football) for those who are interested).
Oh, and my family and friends of course. They're great.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about saying amusing things and just trying to make things a little more fun. Do enjoy talking about more political, moral and ethical things providing its in a very comfortable non-judgemental environment. Healthy and respectful debate is a good thing.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Rehearsing/Directing for a new play, or meeting friends down the pub. Quite often I combine the two. Either that or I'm at home cooking food and watching a good film.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Me and my team might well have googled an answer or two in a pub quiz once, but I do feel exceptionally bad about this.

This sounds interesting to you, and you'd like to see what I'm like in person! As I think I said before, I'm open-minded. Who knows what tomorrow brings. Maybe a car crash, maybe something good.
