My self-summary
Since brevity is the soul of wit, I will be brief.

Here's a madlib for people struggling with their self-summary:

I (verb) at writing these (plural noun), because I (verb) at (adjective ending in -ing) myself. Oh well, here goes (noun). I love a (adjective) (noun) and my friends say I'm a (adjective) (noun), but I'll let you (verb) for yourself. (emoticon).

You can't get to (verb) me by (adjective ending in -ing) this, because everyone (verb). So just (verb) me and we can (verb) each other that way!
What I’m doing with my life
By day, I am an understimulated bookstore employee, though it makes for some hilarious stories (“Can I use your washer and drier?”). By night, I scour the city in search of criminals, clad in brightly colored spandex and armed only with my wits—Actually, it’s a lot more mundane than that. I spend my nights writing, making art, reading, or watching Netflix.

I’m not content with the daily grind of retail work. Obviously, making nine dollars an hour for the rest of my life is pretty unappealing. To that end, I am currently investigating higher education. If that's not Portland As Fuck, what is?
I’m really good at
Everything. I’m not a perfectionist, and I’m not a competitive person, but I do believe in excellence. If you are going to take the time to do something, you should do it right, and you should do it well.

That being said, I am currently pursuing excellence in writing, drawing, painting, cooking, and being a better adult.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I would be far better suited to swinging an axe on some ancient battlefield, or hunting furs on a frontier river, than to navigating the complexities of the modern world. Every now and then, I wish that were the case.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I will read anything I can get my hands on. My favorite stories will always be crap fantasy, though. The kind with some Frank Frazetta painting on the cover. One with a well-oiled and muscular man with a sword, perched on a crumbling staircase while two scantily clad women clutch his legs and a dragon whirls overhead. You can blame C.S. Lewis.

Movies: In my favorite movies, somebody usually has a sword, sometimes it's made out of lasers. I like the ones with ambiguous morals, where the bad guys sometimes win. I can't really put a type down here, my tastes are pretty eclectic, from Terminator 2 to Shakespeare In Love. My favorite movie is Casablanca.

Shows: I pretty much limit my TV exposure to: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Non-Fiction. There are a couple of notable animated comedy exceptions to this, but neither of them are Family Guy. My favorite TV show is Firefly and if it's not yours, that's probably because you've never seen it.

Music: Again, it's pretty eclectic, and it depends on what I'm doing while I'm listening to it. Maybe it's something we can talk about. I like learning about new things.

Food: I love to cook, especially with a partner, and I like exploring new types of food, but I have a special fondness for all things Vietnamese.
The six things I could never do without
--The raw potential in a blank sheet of paper
--The spike of elation that comes with rolling a natural 20 at just the right moment.
--The view of the Willamette River as MAX rolls over the Steel Bridge.
--The smell of an old book
--The other side of the pillow.
--The occasional slice of warm, gooey pecan pie, serving as the delicious bed for a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Brave new worlds and the people that inhabit them.
On a typical Friday night I am
If I'm at home, I'm engaging in one of my too many hobbies. If I'm out, I'm probably having a pretty good time.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I find Bugs Bunny to be somewhat attractive when he puts on a dress and pretends to be a girl bunny.

I want to be the girl with the most cake.
