My self-summary
I am a nice person...I'm nice to people. It's who I am.

I love baseball, and yes, I understand baseball (I'm an Orioles fan). I am a football fan and understand it. I've been watching the Redskins since I was little. It was a Sunday tradition with my dad from the time I was 2 or 3 years old.

I have a full-time job that I love. I am NOT a workaholic. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Devoting my whole life to a job got me nowhere and as much as I love my job, it's not worth killing myself for it. Killing myself for my last job didn't keep me there, did it? ;-) I believe people need balance in life. I focus completely on my job while I'm there, but once I leave? I'm not worried about work. I'm thinking about other things.

I love history and enjoy attending the World War II reenactment in Reading, PA every summer. This reenactment is huge. There are so many reenactors there representing so many different aspects of the war, it's completely unbelievable if you've never seen it. I've been multiple times and I've still never seen everything. I also enjoy visiting the battlefields and monuments locally. There is always something to learn if you're just willing to stop and look for it. And there is some amazing history around here.
What I’m doing with my life
I know who I am and what I'm doing right now. I've never been one of those people who knows exactly what they're going to be doing in 5 years, though.

I love my job and I don't have any plans to leave. I work full time, but I'm not a workaholic. Been there, done that - it got me nowhere. I'm just looking for someone to share my life with.
I’m really good at
Remaining calm in a crisis. My friends and family tell people all the time that I am definitely the one to have around in a crisis because I'm so calm and level headed through it. Things that send other people into a panic don't get to me in the moment.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've never really asked anybody, so I'm not sure what the first thing is that people notice about me. Maybe my smile or my hair...I have really long hair, and a lot of people comment on it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love music and it's very rare that I don't have something playing. I've either got my computer on and music playing or my ipod on. My playlists are crazy. I'll have everything from country to rock on the same playlist and it's hard to tell what might pop up next. I'm not really a "favorite band" type. I might like one song by a certain artist or group, but nothing else. Then there are some groups/artists that I love everything they've done. I'm a huge fan of Rascal Flatts - definitely a "love everything they've ever made" group. I'm into the song "Last Man Standing" by People in Planes right now. See? Doesn't make sense, does it? Completely different genres, but I like all kinds of music.

I don't really have a favorite book or favorite author. I love books and think that just about every book has value. With that said, I can't stand romance novels. I think they're ridiculous and stupid. I'd rather read mysteries and thrillers. Give me Stephen King or Dean Koontz any day! I realize that the Fifty Shades of Gray series got rave reviews. Yes, I read the series. I thought it was unbelievably stupid. There was a background story that would have been pretty good as a separate story on its own, but it was buried under this paltry romance.
The six things I could never do without
This is a loaded question because no matter what I say, I'm going to think of something else, but here's my best effort:
1 - Faith in God
2 - Friends (my best friend is practically my sister)
3 - Family
4 - Music
5 - Books
6 - Love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
different things...some of them probably don't really matter that much.

Right now, the future. What I'm doing, where I'm going. Then I stop and start thinking about what I'm doing and where I'm going right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either hanging out with friends or relaxing at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm terrified of pigeons. It's bad. When I worked in DC, I would cross the street to avoid the pigeons.
