I am a mother to 4 of the best kids ever (3 girls and 1 boy)and a grandmother to 2 awesome little boys who are the loves of my life! My kids are pretty much grown ( youngest is 12) so I am able to get out more without requiring a lot of notice.

I am really just a simple, down to Earth kinda woman. I like a variety of things from working in the yard to going dancing on occasion. I'm not really a big party animal though, been there done that. I would much rather cook out at home with friends and just hang out.

I love fishing and camping and I absolutely love gardening, flower beds or veggie gardens.

I have a few tattoos and piercings and will probably be getting more.

I am a unique person to say the least. My beliefs and thoughts in many areas may surprise you.

I work full time in Home Health Care taking care of an Autistic Handicapped Adult.It can be really trying at times but I like it. Have been in this field for over 10 years. I also do dog grooming from my home part time.

I love writing poems and short stories. I am hoping one day to be published. We can all dream can't we?? lol I posted some in my journal here on OkCupid. Tell me what you think!

I finally quit smoking!! I'm not going to lie, it's been rough but I have went a week so far........

I have also started following the low carb diet. It's a lot easier than I imagined it would be! Getting my body ready for swimsuit season, lol. Guess the tan is next.......

Being a mom and a grandma ( nanny) , My kids and grandsons are my world!

Making people laugh,yeah, so I can be pretty corny at times. Life is too short to take too seriously all the time.
I would say I have a smile on my face 95% of the time. I am an optimist, I look for the good in everything and everyone. yes, it bites me in the butt sometimes, but I learn from it and move on......

Being that shoulder to lean on, I always have an ear to listen and a big heart to comfort anyone who needs it.

Cooking, I LOVE to cook !! Big family meals are my favorite. I usually cook enough to feed an army, lol. I guess I just got used to all the kids and their friends over to eat all the time and it's hard to not still cook like that. Sunday dinners are my favorite!!

Just being myself no matter what. I am unique to say the least. I have my opinions and beliefs and they are what I hold true to my heart. I don't push my ideas on anyone and in return I expect the same courtesy. I do not judge anyone and believe that everyone has good inside them, some just make really bad choices. That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be loved......

And last but not least, I am good at Love. I believe in unconditional , non judgmental love. When you love someone you love the whole person, not just bits and pieces. You take the good with the bad, for better or for worse, for richer and for poorer, through sickness and in health. Love isn't an emotion you can just turn on and off, when you truly love someone you make it work no matter what. It's give and take on both parts, not all taking........ I have been through my share of failed relationships in life and have learned so much each time. I finally feel like I know what it is I'm looking for and won't settle for less.......

I really don't have time to just sit down with a good book unfortunately.When I have had time, I enjoyed most Nora Roberts & Stephen King books ( twisted, I know). I love thriller, suspense type books....

I listen to music of all types.I LOVE the old Motown.....don't laugh.Here is a short list of some I like...Etta James ( my fave), Alisha Keyes, Sara McLachlan, Nora Jones, Leona Lewis, Evanescence, Stevie Ray Vaughn , CCR, Guns N Roses, Missy Elliot, Charlette Church, Native American Music, Crystal Lewis, Bing Crosby, Luther Vandross, Stevie Nicks,Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Pink, Korn, Tool, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Zack Brown Band, Martina McBride, Joe Nichols, Josh Turner wow, I could go on and on, lol.
What I listen to just depends on what kind of mood I'm in basically......

I love movies of all types as well. I like a good thriller, just really not too big on Gorey stuff. Love a good comedy.... Some of my faves are... Jaws, Sleepless in Seattle, What dreams May come, Practical Magic, Wizard of Oz, Little Women, White Chicks, The Waterboy, Radio, Friday,The Count of Monte Cristo, and anything with Ghosts, Spirits or the Paranormal.

If the television is on, I am usually watching something on Discovery, Animal Planet, History channel, A&E, VH1( yes I watch some of "those" shows, lol) something about Forensics, Paranormal, Law & Order, NCIS and Intervention.

As far as food goes, I love Chinese food and Mexican ( not too spicy though). I love to cook just about anything especially on the grill, especially a nice Rib Eye Steak. Yes, I am the " Grillmaster" LOL... Bow Down.......

At home playing dominoes, cooking out with friends and family....or watching movies and just relaxing..I have also learned to love Guitar Hero on the Wii. My son laughs at me because I have to play on easy, lol.

I watch Spongebob Squarepants with my grandson.... (and I like it)... LOL.. OHHHHH who lives in a pineapple under the seaaaaaaaa....hehe

You want a REAL woman who knows what she wants , is secure in herself and her life and definatley doesn't play head games...... Is actually a NICE person, Fun, Confident, and has been referred to as retarded a time or two due to random corny jokes..
