My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
From Chicago, New Yorker at heart. College in NYC and ended up staying. Just moved to Park Slope with my dog (Pit Bull). I've lived in a bunch of places: Chicago, New York, Paris, Los Angeles. Speak French. I am a diehard cook and foodie. Good at trivia. Animal lover. There's lots more, but it all sounds too earnest and cheesy like this. Also, my name is not Ansel, just FYI.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a filmmaker (director and writer).

I also sell very high-end wine to rich collectors. Incidentally I also drink a lot of wine too.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
This is a very complicated and important question. To quote High Fidelity: "...I agreed that what really matters is what you like, not what you are like... Books, records, films -- these things matter."
What you are like matters too, but having said that, my favorite band is Radiohead (as un-original as that sounds). I also love Classical music (Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Scriabin, Stravinsky, Arvo Part, John Adams, Philip Glass, etc.). Just finished 'Blood Meridian' by Cormac McCarthy. If you want to talk to me about favorite films, that is a much longer discussion (but let's talk). All the greats (Kubrick, Malick, Haneke, ...) As for food, I will eat basically anything, but have a love of French food especially. Szechuan food in Flushing. Greek food in Astoria. Pizza at Di Fara. Food is a big part of my life.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The female form
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Projects to film. General existential, epistemological, and ontological quandaries.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dumb question.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
let's save this for a first date or something.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are down-to-earth but also abnormal in your own way.
You like/love/have an addiction to food. All kinds. Adventurous eaters especially welcome.
You are an animal person. If you're not, you are most likely a serial killer or sociopath.
Sometimes you'd rather stay in bed and watch a movie instead of going out.
You love to travel. (Francophiles are a plus).
You enjoy wine. (That shouldn't be too difficult to check off)
You are viciously sarcastic.
You feel like it. Message me. Women who take initiative are sexy.
