I am clean, calculating, and introspective.

My Self-Summary

As my photos make apparent, I've very much enjoyed changing the color of my hair in the past. I have more recently gone back to my natural red...sort of. That aside, I enjoy taking care of myself, analyzing my friends, making myself a drink, reading, singing when nobody is listening, Halloween, comic books, manga, grocery shopping and bad sixties movies.

Intelligence is an absolute must in all of my friends. Stupidity has never been a decent or acceptable excuse for anything. Unfortunately my grammar and spelling don't reflect my education. It's quite shameful. If anyone would be willing to help on that, I'd be grateful for the assistance.

Oh, and I know a bit of Old English. I wish I knew more. Etymology rocks.

(also my favorite test on here so far, http://www.helloquizzy.com/tests/the-harry-potter-wand-test)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm currently a student at Eugene Lang (the New School). The school is a willy-nilly arts school and I love it. My studies are pretty broad, although I've had a definite focus on medieval literature and cinema studies. I'm learning Middle English this semester and excited about it!

Those aside, I read books/comics/manga a lot, get hooked on the occasional video game (Oblivion, WoW, Baldur's Gate, Prototype), I love going to see movies in cinema and really dig old films.

I’m really good at

Aging, cup-stacking, drooling, competitive eating, and performing the occasional unexpected and unnecessary gastric bypass.

The first things people usually notice about me

My magnetic personality? I wish...it's almost my hair.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, The Europeans, A Separate Peace, The Velvet Rage, Vor Game, Laurell K. Hamilton books, Kim Harrison books, Lonely Werewolf Girl, Beowulf, The Golden Ass, Mistborn, The Golden Compass, The Tarot Cafe, Same Sex Unions in Pre-Modern Europe...

Movies:They Shoot the Horses Don't They?, The Fifth Element, Doctor Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog, Wall-E, IHeartHuckabees, Closer, Star Trek, Danger; Diabolik, Satanik, The Harvey Girls, Singing in the Rain, Addams Family Values, Muscle Beach Party.

Music: X-Ray Spex, Garbage, She Creatures, Detroit Cobras, Amanda Palmer, Nouvelle Vague, Lorrie Collins, Annette Funicello.

Food: Cheese, peanut butter, toast, blueberries, peanuts, lemons, almonds, lima beans, pickled beets.

The six things I could never do without

Refer back to the previous section under the header "food:"

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Things I want to buy and how I could be occupied elsewhere doing something more productive.

On a typical Friday night I am

On a typical Friday night I am paralyzed with indecision. My thought process is as follows..do I stay in and read...or I guess meet with a friend for dinner, maybe I should just go out, maybe I should play a videogame I've been meaning to play, what movies are out right now? Blah, I'm tired now, I might regret not doing something tonight though, I should really finish that book, but I wanted to start that other book, oh crap I have a paper due next week...

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

This is really hard for me to come out and say, but...I've never watched Arrested Development...it doesn't look like something I'd care about. Wshew, nice to have gotten that off my chest.

You should message me if

You found any of the shite I said on here to be mildly entertaining or would like to register a formal complaint. Both would be welcome, be brave, send me a message! :)
