Virginia girl in a California world.
Can you identify the following people: Steve Irwin, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Anita Blake, M. Night Shmaylan?
I'm looking for "Mr. Right" not "Mr. Right Now." If you're into 'hooking up', one night stands, or friends with benefits, I am Not the one for you.
Smoking is one of my few deal breakers. Also, I am Not 420 compatible, not even if you only smoke a little.
A friend of mine sayd i need someone strong enough to lean on who is also secure enough in himself to let you stand on your own two feet.
I have family and friends in the LGBT community. It's not who I am, but I will fight for their rights to be who they were born to be.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in a job that I love. It's my second career and so much more fun than my first.
I lived in San Diego for six years and love driving down to visit the Zoo or the Zoo's Safari Park. Want to join me?
I’m really good at
"never give up, never surrender"
When I face a challenge, I do my best to be successful. Give 100%
or don't bother.
The first things people usually notice about me
I love to laugh, and I get the most compliments on my smile because
its always close to the surface. My friends say I have a twisted
sense of humor, sometimes slightly sarcastic, which is good because
so do they.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite authors are Laurel K. Hamilton, Christine Feehan, Lyndsay Sands and Sherrilyn Kenyon. The last three are paranormal romance writers. The first one, well, Anita Blake is a strong female character. Books and movies where women wait around to be rescued tend to irritate me. I like Science Fiction, but I'm not over the top about it. My current favorite movie is "San Andreas". The graphics of the earthquake as the helicopter goes over are great. "Jurassic World!" Was hella awesome! I loved what seemed to me to be references to other movies. I love ghost shows: Dead Files, Ghost Hunters, Deep South Paranormal etc. I like musicals - on DVD or live. I love scary movies, partly as an excuse to hide against someone during the scary parts. Hey, those were my favorite dates as a teenager and I still think they're the best.
The six things I could never do without
my family, my sense of humor, all my books, photographs of my
family, my cat, my sense of humor... wait...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what kind of trouble I'm going to get into this weekend... and who
I'm going to get into trouble with...
On a typical Friday night I am
Is there such a thing as a typical Friday night? I might be watching B movies with friends, or maybe curled up with a good book, or I might be getting some sleep due to an early hike in the morning, or I might be having fun with my kids or grandkids or I may even be over at my older daughter's for a BBQ or my frienda and I could be on our OKCUPID accounts looking at your profile. Lol Typical? Why be typical!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
hmmm, I still blush as badly as I did when I was 16. Then again,
that's not very private since the blush is pretty obvious in
You should message me if
You are a Non-smoker and can handle a woman who can fight her own dragons but needs a partner to watch for the snakes sneaking up from behind and slay eight-legged freaks - and liking "B" movies is a definite plus.
