A #1 with onions at In-N-Out burger, Tank top with flip flops, A cold Guinness on a hot day, a cheesy dubbed kung-foo movie, throwing random stuff into a skillet and making an amazing meal, laughing, telling corny jokes and puns, laughing at my own corny jokes and puns, people watching, being random, creating art, going to an Angel's game, reading, playing tetris, watching cult classics and knowing all the lines, being blunt, car dancing and singing with the volume cranked up, staying OUT of drama, snuggling, diving into a conversation with a random person, staying close with my family, being sarcastic, enjoying red wine, spending money on an experience vs. material items, saying out loud what everyone else is afraid too, sometimes being shy, walking around at an outdoor place, NOT needing 2 hours to primp in front of a mirror every day, enjoying random themed parties with my close friends, weekend adventures.......

No, I'm not just going to throw out random things and make you sort through them, but I did put up some things that I'd like to think sets the stage for what I'm all about. I love life, and try hard to take the high road and do what's right and not necessarily what's easy. That means not settling for something that's convenient. I don't plan my life around the weekend because every day counts. I enjoy doing every day things and having someone by my side turns anything into an adventure. Who says running errands has to suck? Geeze, does that sound a bit domestic for you? LOL I'm the go with the flow kind of gal, but can always make a decision when I need to. I'm usually the one who asks what everyone wants to do, then plans out the logistics. I'm the kind of girl who will randomly show up with 70 homemade (yes, from scratch) chocolate chip cookies to work on a Tuesday "just because".

I'm on this site to try and find that special guy. I'm not interested in dating just to date and while I'm patient, I'm done with the early-mid 20's guy who has to have all his ducks lined up before getting serious. I know what I like and have a firm understanding on "want" vs. "need". I want a guy who knows how to cook, but if he can't even make toast without setting off the fire alarm, that's okay, because I love to cook. On the other hand; I know that I "need" a guy with a sense of humor. Whether it's dry, sarcastic or silly....it doesn't matter.

That being said, at the end of the day it's the little things that count. I'm not looking for an Idealized guy to magically appear out of the mist, but I am looking for someone who's honest, caring and not afraid. I am already happy with me and I don't need someone in order to "complete me". I can stand on my own, but I wouldn't mind being swept off my feet either ;)

After being laid off from a company that sank due to the economy, I have been offered a position with an awesome global testing company. My days at work are always an adventure. When I'm not at my 8-5, I'm usually creating. My love of art and creativity has lead me to start creating projects again using different mediums. I have done several watercolor portraits and albums. I would like to plan an awesome trip, but I'm waiting for someone to take along ;)

I'm really good at being supportive. I try to get out and volunteer where I can or help others in need. I'm the "creative" friend and I'm constantly helping my friend's kids with projects or coming up with unique ideas to solve problems.

I'm also really calm in emergency situations; I always stay level headed and help in righting the situation.

I'm also super observant. Sometimes I appear quiet and shy, but really I'm just taking it all in.

I'm also great at cuddling (does that count? LOL)

I'm not sure what the first thing people notice about me. I'm often complimented on my smile, but I'm often told that I am very assertive. I am very open and honest and I can come off very strong (or so I'm told). I think this is because I dive in and talk with someone like I've known them for years.

I do read a lot, but I go through periods where I will read 5 books at a time and then not pick up a novel for months! I have to admit, I got sucked into the recent craze: The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer (I know it's for teens, but it was so well written and an excellent true-to-life story that I finished the entire series in just two weeks). I enjoy conspiracy mysteries or books by Douglas Preston or James Rollins. There are other authors I enjoy as well such as: Janet Evanovich. I'm friends with a local used book store and I'm constantly swapping books.

I love movies, new and old and I never get tired of watching them. As for music, I am all across the board. I don't really enjoy rap, but I do enjoy a bit of Country, new and classic rock, good jazz (not that new age or smooth crap!) as well as a few jam bands.

As far as dining, I love anything from In-N-Out to a Five Star! I think that dining is more then the just the food alone, it's a whole experience! As much as I love to dine out, I love staying in even more! There is nothing quite like bustling around the kitchen with someone making a killer dish.

I'm a sucker for good red wine, but I also enjoy beers. For now I like blondes, reds and some porters and stouts. I appreciate the skill of micro-brewers and it's always fun to try out new venues.

how great it would be to find a guy who's past the early 20's "what am I doing with my life phase", who is ready to find something more real and stable. Okay... I don't spend a lot of time thinking about that, but thought I would jot that down.
