i'm a professional computer geek and local downtempo dj. i have a love for good coffee, wine and cheese. i'm quite passionate about music. in fact, i probably spend far to much time and money at ameoba and on itunes.

really though, most of my money (and well vacation time) i spend on traveling. i have been to bangkok, phuket, chiang mai, siem reap, hanoi, beijing, hoi an, hong kong, amsterdam, prague, berlin, vienna, tokyo, melbourne and bali.

i play with databases. im a mysql administrator for big silly valley tech company x. i will give three guesses which company and the first two dont count.

im 6 foot 7 or 2 meters. a school age girl outside of the beijing airport called me godzilla. also, my hair color is currently blue, green and black so i am rather easy to spot. once a group of tourists asked if they could take their picture with me.

(books) i really enjoy japanese fiction including authors like haruki murakami and natsuo kirino. even though i tend to read mostly japanese authors, i have covered a bit of the sci fi genre like authors neal stephenson and william gibson.

(music) listen to a lot of different genres including minimal techno, indie rock, hip-hop, ambient, downtempo, goth, IDM, industrial and dub. recently been listening to a lot of radiohead, trentemoller, broken social scene, lcd soundsystem and akufen but i would have a hard time naming my favorites.

(movies) trainspotting, lost in translation, pulp fiction, kill bill, usual suspects, paprika, fight club, big lebowski, spirited away, 40 year virgin, better off dead and grosse point blank.

(food) dont think i really have a favorite food though i tend to eat a lot of thai, indian and japanese just because of the neighborhood i live in. really enjoy a good brunch with lots of mimosas. i also have a real soft spot for good cheese. mmmmm cow girl creamery.

cheese, mimosas, scotch, sushi, my ipod and hrmmmmmm probably good sex.

usually the night involves food, music and alcohol although the occasional movie and video game sneaks in there. really though, i dont like typical nights. its nice to change things up.
