The fact that I am writing from Kenya, does not mean I'm here for a meal ticket. Anywhere that I've got to get to, I can do damn well by myself. Passport, visa and money stories, ailing grandmothers, dying great-grandparents, rain-makers who haven't come through and whatever other self-pitying bullshit that is purportedly peddled around these sites do not apply to me. I'm here to make friends first and not to meet a man who can whisk me away from here. That said, here goes...

I am a warm and intelligent woman. I love music (from blues to R&B, jazz to country, BUT I draw the line at heavy metal!! I love books. I've got stacks and stacks of them. Enjoy used book stores. There's something about thumbing through a used book (maybe its just me, but I know it's not). I love good food, good wine and great company. I love to cook and entertain. For 2 or 20. Gives me great pleasure enjoying these moments with loved ones. I love scrabble and crosswords in the morning. I've always fancied myself as an artist, but alas...there is no hope!
I'm well traveled and thus have and can embrace different cultures. Movies, movies... I'm a hopeless romantic, so I must say, my favourite is Dangerous Liaisons. Of course, I delve into other genres, and of these, I rank 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Usual Suspects' very highly.
But, most importantly, I like to stay in, feet up, a glass of red wine, or a good whisk(e)y, and chat.

I am in the hospitality industry and recently turned farmer. I love growing vegetables and having a few animals. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, with some help of course!

totally, utterly, useless facts. Did you know... In 1972, a group of scientists recorded that you could cure a common cold by freezing the big toe. Thats my quirky side. I manage people well and I'm a pretty good judge of character.
