My self-summary
Well, here it goes!
What I’m doing with my life
Just finished up at Portland State University with a B.S in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. I just recently got hired as a treatment specialist at a residential center for kids struggling with mental health issues. Pretty freakin excited to be done with school and get some hands on experience with real human beings. Long term I'm hoping to get a masters in mental health counseling or social work. But I'm not in any real hurry to go back to school.

Other than all that, I'm just living life week to week, month to month. Its going by pretty fast.
I’m really good at
listening, laughing, taking my time. I'm also pretty great at taking naps, I've got it down to a science.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have a pretty extreme cowlick.

I'm pretty quiet at first but I'll be talking up a storm in no time!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I feel like I'm just now getting the time to read what I WANT to read. I'm more of a non-fiction guy though. I just finished "No Shortcuts to the Top" by Ed Viesturs, its made me really want to get into some alpine climbing. I do like some fiction, I'm making my way through Game of Thrones and Steven King's Dark Tower series and loving it. Better not send me any spoilers.

I love reading anything philosophy.

Shows: BREAKING BAD! Arrested Development and looking forward to the new season/movie! Spaced. Battlestar Galactica. Downton Abbey. Parks and Rec. The Walking Dead. I'm watching Firefly again for millionth time.

Movies: Just watched Beasts of the Southern Wild, which was amazing. I love most of the classics, particularly stuff in the SciFi/Fantasy genres. I'm constantly browsing for more documentaries to watch too.

I'm writing way too much on this page...
The six things I could never do without
Friends and family, coffee, nature, philosophy, the interwebz, and the weekends. I live for the weekends.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the next backpacking trip I want to take. Usually its just a day trip on the weekends, but I've been really wanting to take more multi-day/week long trips. Never seem to have the time or the money though. I can't get enough of the outdoors.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching terrible movies on netflix, eating exorbitant amounts of pizza and then playing Wii till I pass out. These are what I call 'bad Fridays".

The best Fridays are when I can go out with friends for pints and good food. Or going to see a movie at Laurelhurst/somewhere with live music. There's so much to do in Portland, the possibilities are endless.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing Disney songs in the car. And in the shower. Don't judge, you've done it too.
