I just moved from Baltimore to Austin and already love my new city. I forgot what it was like to never walk alone. You always have a friend here, even if it's only for 30 seconds in the check-out line!

Anyway, about me.. I wake up singing, I sing in the shower, I sing REALLY loudly in the car (I'm that chick in the car next to you who's jamming out hardcore to whatever may be on her radio), and sometimes I burst out into song without realizing I'm doing it. I smile a lot, frown a lot, and make a lot of other different faces without knowing it. I have a lot of energy and bounce, I've been accused of being bubbly, and I am also disconcertingly direct.

I am also really bad with open-ended questions. :)

I'm looking for someone who makes me feel like I have put my finger into a light socket.

Oh, and I love flowers. That will be handy information later.

Learning my new home and trying to relax.

Trying to learn how to enjoy the journey, and not just always looking forward to the destination.

Listening and understanding. Being direct. Seeing all sides (or at least 2 sides) of a situation. Staying calm in the face of a crisis... Then immediately melting down the second all is clear just to release all of that pent up emotion.

Oh, and balancing both a cat and a keyboard on my lap.

My blue eyes and overwhelming power. You think I'm kidding, but I'm not. I've heard, "Wow you're such a strong person," so many times, that I've begun to believe it. This has nothing to do with physical attributes, by the way. If you're one of those who says he wants a strong woman but feels threatened by (and is therefore defensive to) them, please don't bother with me.

a) books: Fantasy, Sci/Fi, Humor, Forensic Science, Criminology
b) movies: Comedy, Romantic Comedy, Action, and when I was a kid, Horror, but I've been so disappointed in my "adult" years.
c) music: anything but rap. Seriously. My all-time favorite bands are Stone Temple Pilots (*mourn*), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Portishead, Maroon 5, Dave Matthews Band. I also like Tori Amos. I can't think of any more right now because I'm at work and my cds aren't around to sneak a peek at. I'm a lyrics goddess, though, so I'll probably recognize a lot of what anyone sings.

And by the way, I love the angry girl music of Ani Difranco.

d) foods: Food and I don't really agree. I recently became Vegan in order to address this love-hate relationship between food and my body. Health-wise, it's the best decision I've ever made. Emotionally? It's rough. I love cheese. :P I like anything social, I guess, like tapas or sushi.

My computer, a good book to keep me distracted, a friend, sleep, music, Carmex.

My next art project. How light bends around or through certain objects. Light and shadows. What can be told by trace evidence. The perfect balance of characteristics that I look for in other human beings. The lyrics of a song. That tune in my head. The blue sky meeting the tall, green trees on the horizon in my home state and the peace I feel when I behold that sight (it keeps me sane).

Feeling dazed.
