My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Saluton! I'm studying Linguistics at uni and I have no idea what I'll do after that. I'm genderqueer (he/him, they/them, or she/her pronouns) and body/sex positive. I tend to be attracted to male-presenting and nonbinary people.

I'm fairly outgoing but I prefer a smaller amount of closer friends than having loads. That's all I'm going to say about my personality because shit's hard to define. As you can see from my sidebar, I'm very into language learning, too.

I really enjoy travelling. I've been to Japan twice (much easier when you speak the language!) and I really want to go to Iceland and South America. Using Esperanto I've managed to travel quite a bit for cheap/free, and it introduced me to the wonders of Slovakia (great nature, super cheap booze).

I've not had much success with the whole romantic relationships thing and I'm starting to think what I want now is more along the lines of open/polyamorous queerplatonic arrangements.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently studying Linguistics at Cambridge. I originally did Chinese at a different university but after a year I realised I was only really interested in the modern language aspect, so I dropped out and reapplied for Linguistics which I care way more about.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Languages. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I have a knack for them and love to learn new ones. At the moment I'm taking sign language classes which are a blast.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my lazy eye but they're too polite to say it.

I want to be one of those people who reads loads, but I find it hard to make time for it. I think a recent favourite would be Sekretaj Sonetoj, which is an amazingly well-written erotic story in sonnet-form in Esperanto.

I'm into fun comedy films like Mean Girls and Pitch Perfect, but I also really like psychological thrillers. The Lion King used to be my favourite Disney, though now I think it's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I don't watch a huge amount of TV, but I do love things like Ab Fab, Black Books, Green Wing, etc. Also currently in the slow process of watching Battlestar Galactica, and Bake Off has become a wonderful yearly treat.

I'm one of those weird people who doesn't listen to that much music. I like some kpop and other guilty pleasure-ish stuff, as well as some metal (Ego Fall!) and other things. I honestly listen to very little music that's in English because foreign languages sound cooler.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Languages/Linguistics, sustenance, the Internet, singing, chocolate, cute animals.

Yes, languages come before sustenance. Depriving me of the internet for a few days can make me very edgy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I want to create an artificial island with a commune of Esperanto-speakers on it.

I also think about smashing the heteropatriarchy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, clubbing, or on Tumblr.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have written erotica before (it was about demons).

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a hip and cool queer person.

Or if you like Amanda Palmer a lot, because then I'm pretty much guaranteed to like you even if we have nothing else in common.

Please don't message me if you are a prescriptivist (seriously) or racist/homophobic/transphobic/ableist etc.
