My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, my name is Greg, and this is going to be a bit rambling, so bear with me. To start with the self description, I'm fairly laid back, and I like to think I have a good sense of humor, though I can get highly sarcastic at times which some people don't like. I'm not the most talkative person when I first meet people, but I tend to warm up quickly. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, particularly hiking and kayaking. I also enjoy fencing and running, when I am feeling active, and watching shows on Netflix and hanging out with friends when I'm not. I also enjoy cooking (and subsequently eating) a fair amount of food. I also enjoy playing a variety of video games, though I'm pretty good at limiting myself to a reasonable number of hours.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently a graduate student studying medical physics. After about two years I hope to graduate and get a job as a medical physicist.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm usually pretty good at making people laugh or cheering them up. Also, I am fairly good at cooking, though admittedly with some help from the Internet.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
First thing? Possibly my height; I'll never be mistaken for a basketball player. If it happens to be winter, probably that I'll still be wearing shorts in December. Atlanta winters aren't nearly as bad as the ones back home.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Shows: Archer, House of Cards, Psych, Scrubs, Brooklyn nine-nine, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, House

Movies: A large amount and slightly more than I'd like to type so as a sample, action movies, such as The Avengers and pretty much all of the Marvel movies (besides the Hulk), comedies like The Mask, and horror movies like R/E/C. I have a particular fondness for campy horror movies such as Tremors and virtually any horror movie on Netflix.

Food: Pretty much anything, though I particularly enjoy Italian food. Especially if I am able to make it successfully.

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire series, Stumbling on Happiness, pretty much any Michael Crichton novel
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Well, to start I am going to let my nerd flag fly for a bit and say my computer, both for recreation and for work.
2. My friends; while I do enjoy some alone time I typically am happier hanging out with people
3. My extensive spice collection; I'll compulsively season pretty much anything I cook. Most of the time it works out. Sometimes it goes horribly, horribly wrong.
4. My family, also pretty important
5. The internet, mostly as a way to access
6. Netflix, my primary procrastination tool
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Jokes that would have been funny about 5 minutes ago, how I can get my code to actually run, how long I have to wait until the next opportunity to take a nap
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Preferably, hanging out with friends. Realistically, attempting to put a dent in my workload. More realistically, procrastinating putting a dent in my workload.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Whenever I make a recipe I find online, it always takes me at least twice as long to make it than the recipe says it will take.
