My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am currently a graduate student studying medical physics working towards earning my PhD. After graduating, I am hoping to get a medical physicist position at a university hospital, hence the PhD and not just a masters. Originally, I am from Maryland (and I still hold onto my love of crab, the large supply of which is the only notable thing about my home state), but I have been down in Atlanta for the past 4 years for school. I like to think of myself as outdoorsy; I enjoy backpacking, camping, and kayaking though I haven't had the chance to do much of any of those recently. I also like cooking, especially the eating part that follows, and after several years, I think I am pretty decent at it. Overall, I am laid back (except during crunch times for work or school) and fancy myself as having a good sense of humor. I'm sure "good sense of humor" is on every profile you've read, but unlike all those other guys, I'm not a liar (honesty is another one of my good qualities). If there is anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Doing research, going to classes, teaching undergrads. All the fun things that come with being a graduate student and a teaching assistant.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh or cheering them up. Also, I am fairly good at cooking, though admittedly with some help from the Internet. Less impressively, unless you work for an admissions office, standardized tests
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not sure, I was told recently I have nice hair, so maybe that?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Shows: Archer, House of Cards, Psych, Scrubs, Brooklyn nine-nine, How I Met Your Mother, Game of Thrones, House

Movies: A large amount and slightly more than I'd like to type so as a sample, action movies, such as The Avengers and pretty much all of the Marvel movies (besides the Hulk), comedies like The Mask, and horror movies like R/E/C. I have a particular fondness for campy horror movies such as Tremors and virtually any horror movie on Netflix.

Food: Pretty much anything, though I particularly enjoy Italian food. Especially if I am able to make it successfully.

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire series, Stumbling on Happiness, pretty much any Michael Crichton novel
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My bed
2. My friends; while I do enjoy some alone time I typically am happier hanging out with people
3. My extensive spice collection; I'll compulsively season pretty much anything I cook. Most of the time it works out. Sometimes it goes horribly, horribly wrong.
4. My family, also pretty important
5. The internet, mostly as a way to access
6. Netflix, my primary procrastination tool
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Jokes that would have been funny about 5 minutes ago, and how to get my simulations for my research work properly.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Preferably, hanging out with friends, though frequently I will end up having to get some work done.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Whenever I make a recipe I find online, it always takes me at least twice as long to make it than the recipe says it will take.
