I'm no good at writing these, so I'm going with bare bones for now....I'll flesh it out, I promise.

I'm a bit shy til you get to know me, then I open up and you discover that I'm my own special brand of 'normal'. I'm an amateur (ham) radio operator and slowly attempting to learn mores code. I love being outdoors with or without my camera. It took me weeks to find 3 pictures of myself because I'm usually the one behind the camera. I enjoy playing darts and pool, even though I'm not to great at either one. Water is one of my great relaxers, I love to be near it. I like to swim or just lounge around the pool.

If I could go back in time, I'd figure out how to stay fit and join the air force (reserves I think?) so I could be in the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron and fly through hurricanes and other storms. I'd like to one day go storm spotting in tornado alley and be some of the eyes in the field for the NWS, although I can do that (to an extent) right here.

I love languages. One day I would love to be able to say that: 'I'm fluent in German, Czech, Ukrainian, Russian, and Japanese.' That hasn't happened yet.

I also crochet, knit, and cross-stitch.

I'm currently a full time care giver for my mother.

When the time comes around, I go from Houston to Austin on 'the wrong side of the road', using my HAM Radio license on the MS - 150. Someday I hope to ride the MS-150 and hopefully not become 'crash three'. In the late part of 2012 I took over the position of Club QSL Manager for the 'local' ham club I'm involved in....it's non-paying, but fun...I think, LOL. I've also worked the Wings Over Houston the last couple of years. I also spend as many weekends as I can out at the Texas Renaissance Festival.

Being silly. I can be completely serous when I need to be, but life can be enough of a pain without being serous all the time.

Laughing at myself as I can be a complete idiot sometimes.

Books: I love to read! I'll read nearly anything (thanks Mom and Dad!!) including romance, sci fi, mystery, historical, and the occasional auto/biography. Rather than listing books, I prefer to list the authors.

Jim Butcher, Lynsay Sands, Nora Roberts, Shakespeare, Sir Author Conan Doyle, Edgar Allen Poe, and Kerreyln Sparks...but that's just my favs.

Movies: Where to start?

John Wayne movies, Jackie Chan movies, The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Sense and Sensibility, LotR, Star War (the originals), and the Harry Potter movies (most of them anyway).

Shows: I could keep this simple, but why waste the fun?

TV: NCIS, Mythbusters, Swamp People, The Little Couple, COPS, M*A*S*H*, Doctor Who, Bones, Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, a few BritComs, and Trauma Life in the ER.

Theater: (It didn't say what kind of shows....) My Fair Lady, The Fiddler on the Roof, Tuna Christmas, The King and I....okay I'll behave now.

Music: There's not much I won't listen to.

Love Weird Al, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Larry Joe Taylor!! I also like Abney Park, Apocalypse7, The High Kings, Belly Dance Music, Symphony Music, Dubstep, Alternative, Big Band, Classical, Country, Country Swing, DnB, Folk Music, House Music, International, New Age, Polka, Techno, Trance, and Zydeco. I don't call my iPod the "Random iPod of Doom" for nothing....

Food: Mmmmm....FOOD!
