My name is Joe and I'm 24 living in the northern DFW region of Texas. I'm currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of American Studies degree; I have my Bachelor's degree in Political Philosophy with a minor in German. I love studying and reading about American history, political philosophy, political thought, Catholic history, vampire mythology, and baseball. I know, the last one is kind of out of place!

I have three older sisters, two of whom are married and live in the Austin area. My eldest sister and I are only 5 years a part in age. I was born in Oklahoma but moved around a lot before settling in Texas in 1994.

I work for a museum as a part time admissions clerk and I also teach programs. It's a fun job that allows me the chance to gain experience teaching (my goal is to become a college professor) and also a chance to go to school.

I'm an Eagle Scout and a 4th Degree member of the Knight's of Columbus. My greatest strength is in leading others. I get joy out of teaching others and passing along what I know. Unfortunately, I tend to do it with anyone I meet so if I start to teach you things just tell me to stop if you don't want that. I'm fairly easy going; if we talk and you want me to go away the fastest way is to just tell me to go away.

I'm currently single and looking. I just finished up my BA in Politics from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas. I am attending graduate school at the University of Dallas for a Master's degree.

I'm an Eagle Scout and a 4th degree member of the Knight's of Columbus, which are a Catholic Fraternal group founded in the late 19th Century to assist the widows and orphans of Catholic men.

I work and go to school mostly. However, I'm also looking for someone I can settle down with. I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to relationships as the only two I've had ended after only a few months. When I fall, I fall fast and hard.

Usually hanging out with friends or sitting around doing some reading for school or what not. I try not to spend too much time in my room, I get tired of it. I love to go see movies.

Where should I begin? Chances are you're reading this profile for no other reason than because I looked at yours or I IMed you first. That being said, I want a woman not a girl. I'm looking for a serious, stable, committed relationship that could lead to more. My ideal woman? Smart, funny, witty, intelligent, seductive and a joy to be around. I'm not a big party person, so she needs to be able to handle that; I don't mind if she likes to go out with big groups. I get jealous, sorry ladies but I'm trying to be honest. Girl next door is the type of personality I want; I'm looking for someone I can bring around my friends, and family but at the same time spend hours alone with each other; she should know how to act in the appropriate circumstances. More than anything, and yes you can say I've been spoiled in my previous relationships, I want a woman who has a historical understanding of things. I love history, and often times I make allusions to historical events or time periods that are well bygone. If you can't understand that, then you can't understand me. A college education would be great, but I could settle for a firm intelligence that mimics a college education.
