My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
FULL DISCLOSURE! - I honestly do not think my current profile is adequate or accurate at this point and I really would like to sit down and re-think and re-write this. Just shaking my head since I'm thinking it doesn't do me any favors. Have not been putting myself out there lately, ceteris paribus. I'll be back on to type something new here soon. Been preoccupied with a variety of things. This is on my mind often though.
That guy often seen in red zipping by!
Self-description of entire being done!
How's that for efficiency? Science!
What's that? More vagueness and mystery you say?
Very well.
That's all you ge-...ohh, you wanted the opposite of that...
Alright, I say I'm a bit of a blend as I couldn't say I necessarily fit to a particular image/label/stereotype (secretly hoping this means that I'm really really good at blending into a crowd and a great candidate to become a super spy! [probably not, insert nerd-disappointment]). Mostly means I don't like wearing logos and being a walking, talking billboard. A bit of geek/nerd, a bit of outdoorsy, a bit of a lot of things.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Looking for more friends and some regular social events to spend some fun time with often. Whether it be expanding my motorcycle riding skills or fitness goals or academic and career goals or great games to play. Like finding a group to meet at Guardian Games or finding people to go in on a groupon deal for winery tours or day hikes or bike rides. Probably can find me at the Hollywood farmer's market on the weekends more often than not.
Also figuring out how I can fulfill a dream of having the home in my imagination and then gather my closest friends there often.
I'm also focusing on a couple goals at a time. I've found a way to take care of my health and fitness as I think that's fair when I expect the same from anyone I am interested in dating-wise.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a jack-of-all-trades? Skills and knowledge of many things, master of none!
I think I have good planning skills and am decent at improvising when needed.
Friends appreciate my listening skills and advice I can give them since they know I'll be honest with them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Never asked anyone "what was the first thing you noticed about me when we met?" as that seems it could come off awkward/weird.
Probably some of my more distinctive looks that have people guessing some of my ethnic background as it can be hard to place. I don't mind admitting what it is though; I am a quarter Basque and it shows.
I'm not sure if I come off as stand-offish or intimidating or some-such (hopefully not), but I assure that I'm friendly and have a ready smile and want to know you.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
No particular order here:
Some books - Murakami's novels, The Name of the Wind & The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss, The Nerdist Way by Chris Hardwick, Reamde by Neal Stephenson, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Music smattering - Editors, Cake, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cherokee, Kavinsky, Cicada, Daft Punk, Empire of the Sun, Holy Ghost! and pretty much most of what Tim & Mike play on

Food - Basque chorizo, sushi, Japanese curry chicken, Oregon strawberries, huckleberry pancakes!

Shows - Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, Top Gear, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Legend of Korra
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, I'm sure I would survive without some, but for the sake of the notion:
some dang sunshine
meditation (various forms)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I should eventually sit down and re-write quite a bit on here as I don't think I'm adequately presenting myself to a point where people will actually see I'd truly like to read a note from them and then hangout. Face-to-face is so much better when wondering if you might 'click.' Even Daft Punk agrees!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends, but I think during the rainy winter months I've been home to cook dinner (I can cook moderately well) and enjoy a couple shows (Doctor Who, Daily Show, Colbert Report), then it branches. Calls, perhaps some games with some friends, some Netflix. Maybe go out to a show or get a drink and a meal instead. Maybe making plans for the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Lone-wolfing it for a while is not as cool as one might think. Unless you are a-lone wolfing down an awesome sandwich! Or on the prowl. Just watch out for the pack!

You are awesome and can 'own' your inner-nerd!
If some of the stuff I enjoy isn't your thing, that's fine as long as you don't mind that I continue to like the things I happen to like. I'm up for more than only my nerdier interests. Happy hours, brunch, board games, video games, hiking, biking, traveling, general geekery, needing a dining buddy and I won't mind if you nerd-out over something you're in to, because that's cool. Also if you are looking for a new activity companion when you'd rather have company to something than go it alone.
Maybe you've seen a groupon deal for winery tours and are thinking "hmm, who would I take with me though...?" Ooh, ooh! Me! Me! *manic hand-waving*
