Anything by Terry Pratchett
Adams. Lessee, I also enjoyed the Illuminatus Trilogy, Anathem, To
Kill a Mocking Bird, Snow Crash, House of Leaves, Ender's Game,
Hellboy, 20th Century Boys, and etc. Stuff written by Eliezer
Yudkowsky is pretty swanky.
The Lost Skeleton of
, and any of the old B Movies it is parodying (IE Plan 9
From Outer Space.) I'm also fond of Up, Kill Bill, Black Dynamite,
The Dark Crystal, ParaNorman and various nonsensical Japanese
horror films. At this point, I have seen The Room
at least ten times, which to
be frank is a bit sad.
I have an odd fondness for sitcoms; Seinfeld, Arrested Development.
In terms of things that are still on air: Community, 30 Rock, Bored
to Death, The Legend of Korra. I also rather like Food/Travelogue
shows; No Reservations, Bizarre Foods, Good Eats; All are quite fun
(nom). I have an odd love for Kamen Rider
(and Tokusatsu in
general) although most people will not know what that is. Major
points in your direction if you do, though.
In short, anything containing snarky meta-humor, unusual food, or
bug-men kicking monsters until they explode. All three at once is
I will eat anything, so long as it is delicious. I do have a
particular fondness for pancakes, cuban food, new england clam
chowder, and hot cocoa, though, (although not necessarily at the
same time,) and I drink more tea than could possibly reasonable for
one person to have in one sitting. I do tend to scour the city for
any new and interesting restaurants, and have made it a personal
policy to try any sort of unusual food that piques my interest (so
far I have tried, among other things, jellyfish, sea urchin,
ostrich, alligator and live octopus,) so if you know anything good,
do let me know.
