I am independant, curious, and guileless.

My Self-Summary

Born and raised on Cape Cod (No I'm not a rich, polo shirt wearing yacht driving dip). I'm a creative writing major and a sculpture minor. I have a obsession with everything argyle. Most of my music collection is on vinyl, I ride the unicycle(not very well), play ice hockey(a bit better at this than the unicycle), go to a Unitarian Universalist church, love the outdoors and camping. I have more books than I have time to read, and I fear someday I won't have room for them and will be forced to build my home with the books themselves (to solve both space and money issues, having spent it all on the books).
I have a lot of hobbies. I have a tendency to LOVE learning new things, so if I want to learn something I just start researching and teaching myself about it. This includes everything from WWII history, juggling, unicycling (I just got a new one I can take off road!), playing the penny whistle, chainmaille (the armor), and whatever else catches my fancy. This also means that if I could I would stay in school until I die. I'd love to study painting, economics, history, sociology, religion, linguistics, music, literature, philosophy, archeology, I'd even love to go to clown college.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a creative writing major and a sculpture minor. When I'm not in my apartment working on some writing project (non-fiction and poetry) I'm usually in my (tiny) studio in the sculpture building where I keep most of my art equipment. Since I make jewelry, carve stone, make scrap art, make stencils, print t-shirts, and draw it's pretty crowded. I'm often in there writing and sculpting at the same time. I'm looking into the peace corp as a option after graduation. I'm also toying with the idea of going into the prop business (for stage and screen), something I've gotten into in college and enjoy. I enjoy it because of the sculpture aspect, but also because of the research involved in it in order to make sure a piece is accurate.

I’m really good at

Day dreaming. I like to think about buying a tumbleweed tiny house (http://www.tumbleweedhouses.com/) and moving around the country, holding odd jobs, powering everything in my home from solar panels. Essentially I want to make a Walden on wheels that I can move from Slab City California to some small Apalachian town when the urge to move hits.

The first things people usually notice about me

Well if people notice me at any kind of formal event they may notice I'm wearing a three piece suite. I like to dress nice, as I define it, and I like fine suits. Men shouldn't get to have all the fun.

People also tend to notice my hair, I've taken to bleaching it recently.

The six things I could never do without

Books
Easy access to nature
My own space
Silence
Something to write on
and unluckily doctors

I spend a lot of time thinking about

My future. Society, gender, three piece suits, argyle, history, wandering into the woods and starting a life there, art projects I want to start, whatever happens to float into my brain I think about, in length.

On a typical Friday night I am

At a friends apartment hanging out. Maybe having a drink. Or flailing around on my unicycle (hopefully not after having a drink).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I was diagnosed with cancer senior year of high school. I spent freshmen year of college at home while undergoing chemotherapy. I don't remember most of the 6 months of treatment. In a way I feel like I'm still recovering and catching up from this.

You should message me if

You want to? Cause if you want to you should. (Circular reasoning, I know).
