My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm going to let these two quotes serve as my self summary:

"Never take it seriously, if you never take it seriously, you never get hurt, you never get hurt, you always have fun, and if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends." -- Penny Lane from Almost Famous.

"In the wild, there is no health care. In the wild, health care is, 'Ow, I hurt my leg. I can't run. A lion eats me. I'm dead.' Well, I'm not dead. I'm the lion. You're dead." - Dwight Schrute

This is how I try to live my life.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At the moment I am working at a library where I teach people how to use computers and download books on their ereaders. I just got my Masters in Library Science (yeah, that is a real thing) so I can officially be a librarian now.

I've grown up in Chicago my whole life, but haven't had a chance to truly explore the city in my 20s so that is what I'm doing now. I love the outdoors and walk whenever I can.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making friends. I'm not talking acquaintances or friends you see from time to time. I'm talking best friends, ride or die type of friends. It's a curse really.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd have to say my eyes (which are hazel) or my laugh. I've been told I have a contagious laugh and I tend to laugh a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Ferris Beach, Harry Potter, The Great Gatsby, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Midnight's Children, Wuthering Heights

Movies: The Departed, Kill Bill, Garden State, American Beauty, Bridget Jones' Diary, Thirteen, Blades of Glory, About A Boy, 13 Going On 30, The Royal Tenenbaums

TV: I think South Park may be the greatest show ever created. These are very good too: Veep, Silicon Valley, The League, Parks and Recreation, Game of Thrones, Its Always Sunny, The Office, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy.

Music: I'm obsessed with the music subreddit Listen to This for finding new music. Some bands that I currently listen to are Bastille, The Format, R. Kelly (Saw him in concert a couple Summers ago. He was amazing!), Mumford and Sons, and The Postal Service. I've also been very into french music lately like Yelle, Renan Luce, Clarika, and Coeur de Pirate.

Food: Buffalo wings or Caesar salad. Opposite sides of the spectrum, I know. I'm also a huge fan of chocolate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family and good friends
2. Music
3. Laughter
4. Hair products
5. Some form of technology
6. Books.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
This is so cliche, but the future. I'm trying to not think about it so much though and live in the moment.

Watch this video, it's relevant, I swear. Also, you might really enjoy it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually hanging with friends after I get off work at the library.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like puns way more than any average human being should.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a great sense of humor, you think we would get along, you have a good pun you'd like to share with me.

... Or, y'know, if you want to or something.
