My Self-Summary

I am never entirely sure what I should be putting on things like this. It's like, how am I supposed to think of the most important things some other person would want to know about me? I would have to be...a me-expert. If I wanted someone who was an expert on me I would ask my brother.

I'll just be very simple then. I am 18 years old, fresh out of high school. This August (or possibly September, I'm not fully clear on when classes start), I will be starting my freshman year at Saint Cloud State. That should be interesting, no?

What I’m doing with my life

Hmm...that's an interesting question. Well, as I said, I am on my way to college. If my desires stay the same as they are now, which I understand is not a common thing, I will be gearing my education toward becoming a teacher. I hope to teach at a city school, probably a foreign language, composition, or something socially involved.

I have several major story arcs that will probably develop into quite a few novels. Depending on whether I actually become successful or not, I hope to develop at least one of them into a television series. It would work very well, so...

I also, quite a while into the future I suppose, wish to run for political office. How high I want to go will depend on my chances (which suck, honestly).

I’m really good at

I (used to) spend a lot of time writing. That has been severely hindered by bouts of depression -.-' I have been told, by peers as well as my insanely hard to please composition teacher ("Many of you will get a lower grade than you are used to the first term. Grow up." "There will be no A papers in this class.") that I am obscenely proficient with the written word.

I pick up languages so fast, it's a little scary sometimes. I have a friend that speaks Hebrew occasionally at home. In the last few weeks, I have randomly started speaking in Hebrew by accident.

I also play a few musical instruments. The ones I am the best at are guitar (which I'm not very good at) and saxophone (which I am well above average with). I have also slowly been working at writing some of my own songs.

This is a motto I live by, and has gotten me into so much trouble in the past.

I've been told many many times by my friends that I apparently have the most amazing hair.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Nothing specific, really. I have a few authors that I appreciate more than others, but I usually write rather than read.

Movies: Nothing specific. I like dystopias for various reasons. Oh, and Braveheart is awesome, mostly just for the crazy Irishman. Romantic comedies are just fun ^_^

Music: Mostly alternative rock/metal

Food: The edible kind -.-' I often forget to eat.

The six things I could never do without

Friends. They have been there for me so much more than anyone else I can claim.

Family. I suppose more literally than anything.

Language. I don't know why but the human capacity for language just astounds me. And since I basically sustain myself by writing...

Music. Because it is just amazing.

Boys. I like boys. Especially gay boys >.< I was at PrideFest recently and oh my GOD there were so many cute gay boys! *drool*

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Politics. For some reason I find social policy immensely interesting. Occasionally I will find myself reflecting on how exactly I would design my perfect society, and how best to bring that into being.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am transgender. I was born in a male body, but I am a girl. It's actually a psychological condition, look it up.

I'll be starting hormones in the very near future, on the path to becoming female.
