Vivacious farmer lady (yep, really a farmer) seeks friends for evening and/or weekend entertainment. Bonus points if you're hilarious, brilliant, and well intentioned.

Lucky enough to be pursuing a lifestyle that is an expression of my world view. Fortunately I don't have a j.o.b.--my work and my values click--and I can tell you it's one of the purest forms of satisfaction I know.

Blunt wit. Wholehearted laugh. Tendency to stare or hold eye contact for periods of time that make most people uncomfortable.

Annie Dillard's Pilgrim at Tinker Creek is my version of the Bible. It's a bit like me--a tough read at times, but utterly rewarding and insightful if you stick with it.

I don't watch TV--really, I don't--which makes it difficult to communicate with people about Jersey Shore, etc. Instead I try to be particularly discerning about what I put into my brain, and how I spend my time alive.

I'll watch a movie every now and then--on this, I'm flexible.

My taste in music is pretty eclectic, from top 40 radio to obscure-ish hipster indie bands. I'm an absolute sucker for classic rock.

As for food, I'm quite familiar with the intricacies of how to grow, kill (if necessary), and cook dinner. To be truthful I am a food Nazi, and will likely make fun of what you ate for breakfast. So long as you'd be interested in occasionally eating the best food money can buy with me, I think we'll get along.

Meat--most preferably raised honestly, and of this kind--a lot. A connection to the landscape. A sense of humor. Goals. Feeling useful. Exercise.

To be truthful I'm quite serious--though I have a genuine affection for laughter and release. In short, I spend a lot of time thinking about serious stuff.

trying to have a life--though not always easy--on account of the rooster's crow at dawn. I'm in Savannah on Saturday and Sunday, sometimes during the week as well, for work and play.

I have one chicken out of 900 that I'm absolutely crazy about. Her name is Cleo, and if you ask me she hung the moon.

In my head I'm part Beyonce, part Lauryn Hill.
