I was given the gift of enthusiasm in life, which I try to honor to the utmost. I'm usually making an awesomely funny statement, dancing to a song in my head (R&B, Country, or Michael Jackson, most likely), or nerding out over something historical that I just researched.
I'll admit to being a quirky combo of mischievous and old-fashioned. I just want to enjoy the hell out of my life and be myself as best I can while I'm doing it.
I have moved around quite a bit in life (and am always excited to meet others with similar backgrounds). I've lived in a number of countries and nearly a dozen states. I really love meeting new people and seeing all of this big, old world (if you don't think that the world is over 4 billion years old, we probably won't have much in common.)
I'm kind of an experience junky. I haven't done it all, but I've tried my fair share of things.
Moved out the DC area just recently. The West Coast was fun and relaxed. Now trying to see how up-tempo East Coast life is.
I've always loved being outside with sports and camping. Getting back in my kayak these days, exploring local parks, and playing soccer.
Love adventures big and small from a walk down a side street to living in other countries, coasts, working on a farm and in an office. Just try to see what some of the world is all about while pursuing my career in museums and historical education.
I've determined that life should be taken with a smile and a hiking stick.
