My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm just trying to do my thing.

I was given the gift of enthusiasm in life, which I try to honor to the utmost. I'm usually making an awesomely funny statement, dancing to a song in my head (R&B, Country, or Michael Jackson, most likely), or nerding out over something historical that I just researched.
I'll admit to being a quirky combo of mischievous and old-fashioned. I just want to enjoy the hell out of my life and be myself as best I can while I'm doing it.

I have moved around quite a bit in life (and am always excited to meet others with similar backgrounds). I've lived in a number of countries and nearly a dozen states. I really love meeting new people and seeing all of this big, old world (if you don't think that the world is over 4 billion years old, we probably won't have much in common.)

I'm kind of an experience junky. I haven't done it all, but I've tried my fair share of things.
Moved out the DC area just recently. The West Coast was fun and relaxed. Now trying to see how up-tempo East Coast life is.

I've always loved being outside with sports and camping. Getting back in my kayak these days, exploring local parks, and playing soccer.

Love adventures big and small from a walk down a side street to living in other countries, coasts, working on a farm and in an office. Just try to see what some of the world is all about while pursuing my career in museums and historical education.

I've determined that life should be taken with a smile and a hiking stick.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an experimenter. I moved to NOVA to enjoy the hills, history, farm land and new friends.
So now I work in schools, outdoor programs, tutoring, waitering, and as a park ranger. It's extremely busy and disjointed, but I love it, and it's how I wish to try out lots of things.

Either do what you love, be where you love, or be with whom you love. Hopefully more than one at a time, but at least one of them.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Lightening the mood. Don't have to take everything too seriously, I don't think.
-History.
-Finding adventures. I LOVE exploring new places, parks, sites, museums.
-Amateur singing (Jackson 5; Hootie and the Blowfish; soul music) and dancing. I may or may not say song lyrics during everyday conversation. And I'm a karaoke bad-ass.
-Languages. I've been lucky enough in life to live in many settings with many people. I recently spoke in 6 different languages in one day, which is a life highlight to this point.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am enjoying the shit out of whatever it is I'm doing.
I'm probably dancing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
questions,
people to talk to,
interesting books,
the woods,
great friends,
shoes that take me anywhere.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What Forrest Gump quote will relate to my day.

How it would be really easy to talk in the manner that monks do if you only ever lived in a monastery.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
dancing, eating, singing, or just hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I sometimes drive on the bumps on the side of the road because it feels funny.

Also, what I'd most like to do on a Saturday night, honestly, is grabbing a book and going to work in the margins of said book to respond to the beliefs of the author.
