Another change of season, another chance to gain a new perspective
and see things in a different light, both figuratively and
literally. I enjoy film, theatre, music, fixing up my home,
cooking, dancing and hope to do some more overseas travel. I have a
somewhat offbeat view of the world, and like to think I have a good
sense of humor. I am an entrepreneur at heart. I am originally from
New York, I own my own place in Noe Valley
Sometimes I feel like I was born into the wrong age. In many ways
I'm an old school gentleman, which is sometimes tough in a world
conditioned to aggression over kindness. I've had an interesting
and diverse path through life, but I'm ready to begin a new
chapter, and all the things of importance I would prefer to do with
a romantic partner.
I have my own business, and in fact am starting a new one. If
you've ever done that then you know it is like an intense
relationship of its own. I am not looking for a one night stand nor
a quick romp in the hay, but am seeking someone that is laid back,
fun and easy to be with, and thinks the quality of life is not
gauged by how many things you can acquire.
What I’m doing with my life
I am starting a new business, and it is engaging on all levels.
Could there possibly be a worse time to start a business,
especially one related to an industry that is going through a major
technological shift and contraction? Probably not. But the fact
that I'm making it happen is exciting and I'm having fun.
I’m really good at
Fixing up a space, and making people feel welcome and comfortable.
I cook a few really good dishes. I can tell a story well, and I
would have made an excellent teacher. I give good advice, except to
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm not sure as I've never had the pleasure of meeting me for the
first time. If I had to guess I would say my hair and my strong
chin, oh and I walk upright.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: The Man Who would be King, Best of Youth, Godfather I, the
unforgiven, Children of Paradise, Groundhog day
Books: Dostoyefsky, Herman Hesse, Sci Fi
Music: Jazz, Rock, Classical haven't found my footing with Opera or
Food: Eclectic, "good" pizza (hard to find here), ethnic, simple
but the occasional upscale foody hunt
The six things I could never do without

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I left my keys. Also, when I'm not thinking about trying to
make a living, meeting the love of my life, paying bills, and all
the minutia that takes up our time, and I have those moments when
I'm trying to figure what it's all about, I think about the concept
of infinity. It drives me crazy, but in a good way. Its like
exercising your imagination and problem solving skills at the same
time. It's fascinated me since I was kid, weird huh? I think it's
important to be ok with not knowing all the answers, helps keep the
world in perspective.
On a typical Friday night I am
Looking forward to the weekend. Catching up with buddies for a beer
and seeing what is going on with everyone, maybe watching a
basketball game at a bar. Movie, dancing. Often stay in and watch a
movie or cook a nice meal read by the fireplace. Wishing I knew
where you were hiding.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I'm not willing to admit to private things publicly.
You should message me if
you are looking for someone fun and easy to be with, to enjoy what
must be one of the most romantic cities in the world, are not
overly materialistic, not too extreme in your politics, food, or
sex life, and want to find someone to partner up with for the long
haul. If so, give me a shout.
