I am introverted, fun-loving, and laidback.
My Self-Summary
What is up? My name is Elizabeth, and I live in sunny Tucson,
Arizona. I was born here, and I will always consider it my home.
I’m employed part-time at a local Sears, and I go to school full
time. I’m currently working on an associates in science degree.
We’ll see where that takes me.
When I’m not at work or school, you can typically find me curled up
with a good book or out with my friends. I love to go to rock
concerts and amusement parks. I’m somewhat of a thrill-seeker, but
I’m not into extremes. I love to listen to music; my Zune is never
far from me. Singing has been one of my passions since I was
thirteen or so, but I’ve yet to do anything with it beyond singing
in the shower. Maybe one day.
I've been a vegetarian since I was sixteen. I went cold-turkey with
it, and I haven't looked back since. Don't freak out; I'm not going
to berate you for eating meat. It's not my place to dictate how
others live their lives. I get a lot of crap from people about it,
but it's all in the name of fun. I give out what I receive, so it's
all fair. In a way.
I tend to be shy and reserved when I first meet people. I’m an
introverted person, but I do know how to have fun when I’m
comfortable with the people I’m surrounded by. I do take an
old-fashioned approach to dating. I may be a feminist at heart, but
I like guys to make the first move. I’ve always been this way, and
it’s not a habit easily broken.
I do have a strong sense of humor. I love laughter, and I like to
make others laugh. I’m not always successful, but in those
instances I can usually laugh at myself, so all is not lost. I just
like to have fun. I’m rather laidback. I like to play sports; I
tend to have a rather competitive spirit. I’m not involved with any
sports team, but a game every now and then is always
enjoyable.
If there is anything else you want to know that my profile does not
tell you, feel free to ask. I’m an open book… with some pages torn
out, or so I’ve been told. But I do enjoy a good conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
What I am doing with my life right now is going to school
borderline full-time and working part-time. I want to go into
science,
specifically
environmental biology
(with a focus in meteorology, or so I'm thinking about). What I'm
going to do with that, I have no idea, but at least I'm going with
something I enjoy. I would love to get involved with
music and/or
acting, but that's not my main focus
right now. I do miss
performing arts, though.
I’m really good at
... performing. I love to sing and act, and both of those
activities came naturally to me. I'm good at writing, as well. I'm
a fantastic listener, or so I've been told. Um... I'm good at
navigation? That's usually the role assigned to me whenever I
travel with someone. Hmm.
The first things people usually notice about me
The first thing people probably notice about me, other than
physical attributes, is the fact that I am rather quiet--unless the
other person is quiet, as well. If the latter's the case, generally
I'm the more out-going one. In most cases, however, I'm the shy
one. I like to listen to a person talk before I open myself up.
Otherwise, I am blonde. It doesn't take long before my ditzy side
comes out, much to my dismay. But whatever. It is what it is.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I tend to read a lot of romance novels just because my life is so
dull and yeah. Deep inside, I am a hopeless romantic, but you'd
probably never know it by looking at me. Otherwise, I do enjoy a
good
Stephen
King (how's that for a contrast?) or
Dean Koontz novel. I liked
Hiroshima by John Hersey, but I've always been fascinated by
World War II.
Don't ask me why. I have read the
Harry Potter series. I refuse to
read Twilight. Um... yeah, I'm a nerd in that sense.
I don't watch a lot of movies. I should, but I don't. There are a
few that stick out in my mind, like, "
The Taking of Pelham 1
2 3 (2009)," "
Man of the Year," "
Hostage," "
Red Eye," the
Scary Movie series,
Austin Powers series,
"
Dodgeball,"
"
Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory," "
Finding Nemo," and "
Blades of Glory."
Obviously, I prefer comedy movies over all others.
I am hopelessly addicted to music. My list of favorite artists is
constantly changing. I'm always searching for new artists to listen
to. To give you an idea of some of the music I like, these are the
bands I've seen in concert so far this year:
Papa Roach, Buckcherry,
Avenged
Sevenfold, Trivium, Coheed & Cambria,
Slipknot,
Lacuna Coil, Chimera, Killswitch
Engange,
Disturbed,
Red, Escape the Fate, Anberlin,
Hollywood
Undead,
Korn,
Disciples
of Prime,
Sick Puppies, The Misfits,
Flyleaf,
The Used, and
Rise Against.
Ah, food. I love
Italian food. I'm addicted to
Taco Bell, as
pathetic as it is. I miss steak so much, but that's the only thing
I regret not being able to eat. I like most
Mexican foods, but I can't eat a
lot of it anymore. *sighs*
The six things I could never do without
Aside from the essentials of life...
1) Friends
2) Music
3) Laptop
4) Electricity
5) Family
6) Laughter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
... nothing specific. My mind likes to wander from subject to
subject. I'm rather opinionated, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I
do have an active imagination, so that helps enhance the chaos of
my thoughts at times.
On a typical Friday night I am
Define typical. I don't have typical Friday nights. One Friday
night I have to work, and the next I go to a concert. The one after
that is a girls'-night-out with my best friends, and the one after
that I spend chillaxin' at home. I like to be busy, but I also
don't mind spending time doing nothing. So... I have no idea what a
typical Friday night would entail. Sorry.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Well, if I admitted it here, it would no longer be private, now
would it?

You should message me if you look at my profile. Obviously, I made
you curious enough to glance, so why not reach out?
