I am creative, passionate, and thoughtful.
My Self-Summary
As I write this, I can’t help but feel that whatever I write, that
it won’t really capture who I am as a person. I do not think it is
possible to sum up somebody through a series of responses about
their favorite hobbies or what they like to do for fun. That being
said, here it goes: I would say that I am well-rounded individual
with a wide variety of interests, but my passion has always been in
the area of the creative arts. In my spare time, other than
visiting local art galleries and museums, I love to go to the
movies with friends, going out to eat at interesting restaurants,
visiting comedy clubs, spending time at the park, working out,
attending live sporting events, traveling, as well as just bumming
around the house watching TV.
What I’m doing with my life
I have an eclectic educational background that consists of
undergraduate and graduate degrees in art history and museum
studies. I am currently a conceptual designer of museum exhibits
here in Houston and am also a public artist. Before that, I spent
an internship with Walt Disney Imagineering in California
developing concepts for the Disney theme parks.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books - Anything art and design related!
Movies - In no particular order - Jaws, Close Encounters of the
Third Kind, Schindler's List, Godfather I, Godfather II, Lost in
Translation, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The
Sixth Sense, Good Will Hunting, Dances with Wolves. . .To Be
Continued
Music - Some of my favorite bands include the Beastie Boys, The
Beatles, Hendrix, and Arrested Development. I also like some
Electronica like Moby and Chemical Brothers. I guess it depends on
my mood. Just the other day, the Charlie Brown tune “Linus and
Lucy” by Vince Guaraldi came on the radio and told my friend that
that was one of the best songs ever. It was so perfect for the
Charlie Brown shows.
Television - I watch Bravo, Travel Channel (Anthony Bourdain
rules!), Food Network (Iron Chef rocks!), Discovery Channel, Animal
Planet, PBS (Charlie Rose is the best interviewer ever!),
Ghosthunters, and prefer Letterman to Leno. As far as
comedies/dramas - The Office (both the American and British
versions), Extras, Heroes, and CSI.
Food - Anything authentic!
The six things I could never do without
1. Oxygen
2. Water
3. Food
4. Shelter
5. Clothing
6. IPhone ;)
