My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I recencty realized that my old summary, while well written, made me seem like a pretentious son of a gun. I move between being super serious to a true blue goofball. I am very much a contradiction, but not to the point of causing cognitive dissonance. I'm told I'm rather intimidating but I'm really just a misunderstood sweetheart. A science nerd, art freak, creative type, snuggle fiend, gadget junkie, coffee addict, dreamer with his head in the clouds and feet on the ground. I am extremely kindhearted, but that should not be taken for weakness (I know 8 different ways to kill a man using only my legs... not exaggerating.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just started a new career type job in a water treatment plant so I'm working my way up the ladder and trying to keep enough energy to be creative. Getting the last of my ducks in a row for the moment, I've got most of my "shit together" and it feels pretty nice. I'm trying to learn and experience as much as is possible in one human life. Making art and things, writing, dancing, singing, performing poetry, going out, staying in, trying to stay social, make better friends, appreciate things more, to dream up a better world than the one I experience, and do everything within my power to manifest it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Having in-depth conversations on almost any topic, I've been called a human encyclopedia. Here is a list of things that I do, the list of things that fascinate me is endless.
Fixing things.
Playing Ukulele and to a less extent guitar.
Spin Poi
I guess a better question is really,
What are you terrible at?
Being brief, and giving up.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm told that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and my soul has shapely windows that go between blue and green. People seem to like them.

I have recently discovered that I'm kind of attractive, I had no idea. I've always thought so but now other people do too.

Documentary junkie. I watch ted talks every day. I like pretty much anything though as far as movies go. In entertainment film I really love complex, highly visceral and cerebral films like Cloud Atlas, Loopers, Inception, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, American Beauty, etc... but at the same time I enjoy a good mindless comedy. Zombies, Vampires, Dumb and Dumber, and dry quirky comedies like Safety Not Guaranteed, Little Miss Sunshine, etc.. I will watch just about anything without complaint.

I love to read, and typically I've got 2 or 3 going simultaneously. Usually I have one challenging piece for learning and another for pleasure.
J.D. Salinger, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, Malcolm Gladwell, Ray Kurzweil, Neil Gaiman (American Gods through Sandman it's all good), Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare (a lot of which I know by heart), The Brothers Karamazov, Nietzsche, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and Rainer Maria Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet are probably two of my favorite books of all time by knocking The Catcher in the Rye out of first place. Norwegian Wood will sometimes usurp them both depending on the day.

I love novels whose characters feel like they're your best friend by the end, books on futurism, neuroscience, poetry, astrophysics, quantum physics, fiction... and all other manner of anything that I find interesting or don't understand.

Poetry is one of the other things I cannot live without. Ranier Maria Rilke, Anis Mojgani, Ken Arkind, Omoizele Okaowo, Shira Erlichmann, Andrea Gibson, Nesimi, Rachel McKibbens, C.P. Maze are a few of my favorite purveyors of words.

Music:I will listen to pretty much anything and find value in it. I kind of move from genre to genre depending on the day but lately I'm really into neo-soul, and am starting to dip my toes into R&B but my most consistently listened to genre is underground hip-hop. My heart is a beat-box. My main criteria is that it is required to have some sort of soul and have at least a little bit of substance. I listen to pretty much everything and a list of my favorite musicians would be too long to put on here, suffice to say I will sing along to just about anything.

Food: I am not picky. I will eat just about anything. My favorite is Thai Food, followed closely by Italian. I love to cook and it is always some kind of fusion.
